Ok so things are moving a bit now. I have an appointment to see a doctor on 21 December to hopefully go on to Tier 4 before I meet the rest of the team. I did not anticipate being seen before Christmas ... still a long way to go before surgery though xx

Wow that's fab, I wouldn't have expected it to be so soon either, what a lovely surprise for you, another step closer I'm getting excited for you can't wait for 21st XX
Hi hope u don't mind me asking... I'm with LnD hospital for my sleeve I'm currently awaiting to see the MDT team on the 30th DEC. But its not with the anesthetist of surgeon but the nurse, physiologist and the dietitian. Do you know if I will be given my op date then? Or what the next step is? I started my journey 15months ago now. X
Hello and welcome, I'm sorry I can't answer your question as I'm only 6 months into my assessment which has to be for 1 year and surgery could be up to a year after that, it sounds like your much further on than I am, there are other members who will be able to answer though I would suggest you post on the introduce yourself page to start with, it is a long process with many hoops to jump through but hopefully and going by the great inspirational posts on this forum it will be worth it. Good luck and please keeep in touch x
Thank you for the reply. It is very much a long journey that's for sure its been emotional to say the least. I have had to give up work due to many health issues an iv worked all my life so I'm struggling with the wait to get it done and start healing and living life again. Iv also gained wait since October nearly 1.5 st I gain easy due to meds but I'm worried they will stop me moving forward because of the gain.
This road is tuff but it will be worth it in the end I'm sure. Thank youfor being so kind and replying xx
Hi Babe they are sending me my next appointment in the post so no date yet. Next visit is doctor and I have to have an ECG and an echocardiogram. Don't know the timescale to see MDT but the dietician said about 6 to 9 months is normal for waiting list for operation. She was really lovely and did not try to talk me out of surgery at all. Thanks so much for your kind words and support. It means so much to me xxx
Hi Maria, it's been I while since you've posted, unless I've missed it as I'm still finding my way round on here, are you ok ? I know this is a busy time of year but just wanted to check in to see if you are alright X

Reading on here a lot of us lost the plot this weekend, including me.! It's that awful C word that is doing it as it is affecting our routines. Don't beat yourself up.
Keep your chin up Hun, you've done amazingly well and I second everything Hannah2 and Sam55 have said, Christmas is such a difficult time of year for those with weight problems but also agree draw a line under it, I too haven't been anywhere near as good as I should have been, we can do this, we will get back on track, good luck on Wednesday, how exciting, another step closer Xxx
