Looks lovely! When is your wedding? Just wondering if that shrug will be too hot if it's summer wedding, and maybe a lighter chiffon/lace might be better? I got married in the month of June, and my strapless dress was so hot (and weighed a ton by the end of the day!). I think I would have keeled over if I'd had a shrug too, lol.

It's an October wedding. I tried both chiffon and lace jkts, didn't hold my bingo wings in at all!!

How did that one feel like, because if it felt right then that's the one, I was suggesting the lace because it would show of your figure and cover your arms but I think sometimes when you try one on you just know what's right for you. If you have the one you showed us you have the pull in part at the back which will need doing because of still loosing weight and inches.

I think tho, that the dress might work as a lighter weight fabric with more lace or the arms built in as part of the dress even maybe. Xxxxxxx

Thank you ladies....I was intending to have a lace sleeved dress similar to Kate Middleton's....I thought it was my dream dress. But when trying them on, the lace made me look older and drew attention to my large tummy. The satin dress is much more structured and skims over my hips perfectly. It's never easy when you are 3 sizes larger on your bottom half.

I felt good in this dress.....it needs a lot of alterations, but I feel calmer about the entire day after finding it.

Ha!! Not me. That's the dress done, chose it within 2 hrs, just need to go shoe shopping and that's it. I'm wearing my Nana's wedding jewellery

Oh....I do need some decent underwear, but I will leave that until the final fitting. I'm not expecting to lose much before October, I've slowed right down now so can't imagine losing more than 1 or 2 stone maybe.

Hon you will need you undies first as they will fit your dress depending, particularly, on the bra you will wear.

Thanks Yve, how long do you think I can wait before buying undies? Getting married in October but have no idea how the weight will shift in the meantime....?!

You need it by first fitting. Talk to the seamstress and see what she says.

Lots of excellent advice there special lady. I reckon you will change shape between now and October lots, and a few stone off. I am sure the folks in the shop are used to most brides regardless of where they started shedding some weight in the months before their big day, and will cope with any necessary changes very well xxxxx
