Hi all

I can't remember chris if you said you had a band or bypass, but would you happen to know does the band affect your ability to eat spicy food? I just made and blended a red pepper tomato and chilli soup ready for after my op and it's mega hot. I can handle it now. Just! But not sure If the band affects spicy food? X

I'm a bypasser but I don't know the answer but you could start a new thread with it and then banders will come on and give you their thoughts. I think no matter what op we have think the first few days or weeks even may need bland things to help the healing process but don't quote me on that cos I'm only speaking from my personal point of view. xx;)

Not in a million years despite my problems with allergies.

No it didn't hurt me & only in for 2 1/2 days. Just over 3 months post op & lost 6 1/2 stones & 5 dress sizes already. Good luck.
