My Gp seemed to think that there was little chance of getting funding without a lot of toing and froing....appeals etc

Our local PCT has got to reduce its funding by 4million would you believe!!!!

Hi, I live in Bury and have a BMI of 54 (omg i hear you say lol)......I need to discuss things with my GP but wanted to know about peoples way through the funding process for bariatric surgery in bury.....any advice welcome

Hi I also live in Bury. I wasnt involved in the funding process at all - my GP just said she was going to write to the PCT and next thing I heard was that I had received funding for a bypass. It all happened very quickly. If you can be referred to Mr Ammori's team at The Spire or Salford Royal - you should have a good journey like me! Good Luck!
