hi, yet another newbie.......

i've been looking at this sight for months and have, at last taken the plunge and joined. i am on a waiting list for a gastric bypass. i have read books and looked on the net but still have a million and one questions!!!!!! everyone here appears very friendly and helpful so i thought i might ask you.....

(please accept my apologies for lack of finnesse and smillies - i am totally clueless when it comes to making things look nice.)
my surgeon is dr el hassani at farnborough, he seems a strange chap but i have read good things. can anyone tell me anything about him, good or bad.

My surgeon, Dr. Ackroyd, is not really a people person but a fantastic surgeon

Hello Di, welcome to the forum I had my bypass at Farnborough with Mr El Hasani last May. There are a few of his patients here so ask us anything and don't worry, there's no such thing as a silly question ! Mr EH isn't the most personable surgeon but you couldn't be in better hands.

thank you for replying. im reassured to know u r happy with dr e-h. he has excellent reviews but i was a little taken aback when i met him. i wasn't "allowed" to ask him questions at my appt but had a small group appt with Star. do you have any other appts before the op??
