Hi

Lol, I think u misunderstood me....I meant Dr Simpson who wrote the article doesn't sound Like he has a band! I don't just rely on restriction tho, I have changed my lifestyle too....but yes am very grateful that after 2 fills I feel like I've found the right level for me :) x

Janeybec..
Are u in the green zone after two fills? X

I enjoyed reading the article. "Restriction" is a very individual thing. I am over 2 years down the line now since i had my band and maintaining my 150lb+ loss for 18months ... And my personal approach has always been about understanding the right amount of food to eat before having the band kick in to tell me I have gone too far. I have never been 'tight' and I do feel hungry sometimes still, but generally my appetite has reduced. Maybe that's why I enjoyed eating a reasonable amount of healthy food still (rather than an 800 calorie a day diet); enjoyed the odd 'treat' and did not fall off the wagon; and have avoided defills :)

I really hope this happens to me soon, I have 5.5 ml in and nothing really happening now :( roll on 16th. I've gone back on ww now just to keep control a bit :(

If there is such a thing as green zone then yes I believe I'm there, am booked in for another fill on 8th Sept and am really thinking about cancelling....am going to phone my provider tom to discuss. Am sure I have sussed the right portion size for me now, where by I eat just enough b4 getting the stuck feeling. I am one of those people that thought my band would do all the work for me, never knew it would be this tough...but wouldn't change it now. Good luck x x

Just wanted to share a good moment with you ladies! I'm on my way out tonight, an whilst looking through something to wear I went into the dreaded drawer, you know the one, with all the clothes that don't fit you but are too good to get rid of,
Well, saw a pair of black trousers I haven't wore since pre twinnies ( 2010) picked them up and thought, mmmm, will I fit in these. Half way up my legs I'm like naaaah, and then I did the buttons up! Now stood at bus stop wearing said trousers and they fit fine :)
Much needed boost :)

Yay well done Emma..

Nothing tastes as good as feeling slim feels..!

You just need to remember that saying tonight when u get in with the booze munchies and tomorrow when u spend the day feeding the hangover..
But well done just what the doctor ordered...
I'm am soooo looking forward to my next girls night out.. X

I did ok and not feeling too bad! I'm a vodka and diet coke girl, have even since forever, so had to find something else, but I absolutely love vodka and cranberry , so for the few occasions I do go out and drink, I'm happy with that!
No munches either ( well , I did eat a tiny bit of hubby's kebab- the salad and coleslaw and a teeny bit of chicken)
Out all day today so hoping that'll keep my mind off carby foods , an then I'm off on holiday with the kids tomorrow for a few days :)

Brilliant ! Well done, never tried vodka and cranberry juice, I will have to give it a go, my tipple was Gin n Tonic, am going to miss it :( . Where you going on holiday Emma? Bet you are looking forward to that!!

Going to Looe in Cornwall, only for three days but looking forward to it loads. It's me, the four boys, my best mate and her three boys, so it's going to be hectic! Lol

Make up today...

My kids never notice that I'm loosing weight, and I never tell them I'm on a diet, they've hardly noticed I'm eating so little.. But today,

My little boy gave me a big hug and said "hay mum, your skinny"

:) well that make my day..!

That is sweet looloomoo ! Bless them! Hope your restrictions are working girls! My first fill tomoz! Will be so pleased! Been a real struggle just lately xx

Julie... Good luck today... Hope they are agreeable to give u a descent fill.. Nothing to worry about, maybe get some liquid ibuprofen just in case your a little swollen tomorrow. ( know I was)
Lou xx

Good luck today Julie, although its honestly fine, no worse than having a jab in your arm. Well, we abandoned our holiday and came home yesterday. The caravan was absolutely filthy, had damp, covers in some smelly cat/dog hair, was rotting, we left all our stuff in the car, went out all the first day, slept in our mates tent the first night as no way were we sleeping in there, so 7 kids and 2 adults in a 2 man tent! Lol. Hence to say we got no sleep at all, went swimming yesterday, played in the park , and ten came home. Meeting the woman who we hired the caravan off today to get my money back hopefully.
The kids have had a good time and not really known any better but I was absolutely livid yesterday!

Lou, I didn't see your above message, sorry, now my message reads like I've poo pooed your comment about needing ibuprofen! Completely not the case, it's a good idea as I was a little tender myself, I was just referring to the actual needle going in, as that was the bit I was worried about xx

It's ok em didn't even notice..

Shame about the holiday, but hay u will remember that in the future and laugh about prob more then if it was a normal holiday..

See gotta make the best from bad.. M new attitude. (Although to be far it always been my attitude) haha xx

Em.. Do u have to wait 3 weeks for next fill?

I know it's daft to rush but I would love just another 0.5ml to see me throu my cruise in 5 weeks..
