Hi Em.,

Hope you are feeling better today.

I am grappling with this all of the time too... but have a few little things that I have achieved over the years... never ever had enough storage space... I have had tailor made wardrobes to the ceiling... to clear floor space... if you store higher and co ordinate cardboard boxes maybe with coloured paper or even the wallpaper you have in the room they could look tidy and it's cheap.

I don't like clutter.. so I have to grapple with the family... who are clutterbugs... it's a case of getting everything tipped out. Sorted, sifted, downsized... then put together... the more floor space I find the better.

Similarly... if you have too much in your cupboards tip out and rotate.... dispose of stuff you really don't need and start using ebay!

There is always something you can sell...

I have a tall, thin cabinet in my bathroom and try and keep most things in there... so the bathroom is not too cluttered.

Underbed storage is good too.. but it's got to be sorted and clean to start with and then I tell my family... keep it like that!

Don't think you are on your own Em., we never have enough space either no matter the size of properties...

Be interesting to hear others tips...

Love and hugs xxx

I live in a 3 bed terraced with my hubby and we have SOOOOOOOO much clutter, both spare rooms were so messy and you couldnt open the doors in either. When I found out I was pregnant, we had a HUGE clearout. Literally all pre-op clothes went to friends or charity shops along with a few bits on ebay...all old furniture went on the for sale or swap sites on facebook (GODSEND!!!) and everything else went in the bin! We managed to condense it down to 1 rooms, and in there is literally only things we need (suitcases, spare wardrobe, photos etc)
De-clutter is the biggest space saver...have a matra...if you aint used it within the last 6 months, year, 2 years etc...get rid.
As for actual storage solutions - the vacuum bags are always good. A little bathroom shelving unit for all the clutter within there. Boxes decorated to co-ordinate with each room etc.
Good luck! xx

WE recently bought storage from Ikea - the Antonius system. It's quite cheap and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
It's dead easy to put together, robust and stores loads!
It's not particularly pretty, but a curtain pole with a nice curtain will hide it nicely.

Thanks everyone, i have 3 mthly clear outs so dont really have junk, but its storage for every day stuff, ahh i hate stuff every where, i like minimal lol xx
