They did originally say they wanted me in on the 4th Feb and to start my diet yesterday when they phoned me. I did tell them 3 weeks ago I was going on holiday for a month and wouldn't be back until 4th Feb. I did think of getting a flight home 2 days earlier but thought better not as I want to try and lose as much as I posibly can before the op. It also gives me time to get prepared for it as well.
If I'd have been at home and not in Tenerife then I would have taken the date.
Wow, 4th feb! They don't give much warning do they?
Like you say better to wait a couple of weeks and lose a bit of weight.
I better start cutting back a bit in case I don't get much notice either.
I'm so pleased for you x
I 1st seen Mr Taheri July 2009, I had to lose 2 stone in weight before he would refer me onto the surgeon.
I attended weight management and lost the 2 stone and eventually got to see Mr Richardson on the 5th November 2009. He said i'd done really well and that I could have the band.
It took the hosptial 2 months to write the funding refereral to my PCT. I found out in January that the PCT hadn't received the letter and I had to chase the hospital and ask them to fax it to them.
It took the PCT 3 days to say yes to the funding, 2 and a half weeks later the hospital phoned me to give me my date.
