I love the fact that I no longer feel so alone, as I know no matter what I post there is someone else that totally understands; trying to explain to slim friends how things make you feel is just like talking to them in a foreign language (no fault of theirs, they just don't get it)...I really do feel so grateful to have you all as my new cyber friends, I echo the others and thank you all also xxxxx

I know how you feel about talking to thin friends the try understand but never will and as supportive as they are the can't help on the journey really so it is brilliant just to know your not alone! xxx

Well the posts on this thread just compound what Viki said so eloquently at the beginning I found all the help, support & advice I needed when I first joined back in August after months of reading but not quite getting up the courage to join in ... because as by now you all know I am a shy, quiet person so will understand the joy we all experience when being accepted by complete strangers & made to feel like one of them. I have met some really lovely people on here who I would never have had the opportunity to get to know if I had never had a weight problem so every cloud has a silver lining I especially found Caren who just connected with me & I hope we will be friends forever cos she is very special to me Also Kerry who is doing so very well after hitting a bit of a stall but by taking the advice of each & every caring person on here, has now restarted her losses. Well done, honey There are too many others to mention, but they know who they are ... thank you every one of you & good luck, heath & happiness for the future but don't forget us when you are skinny minnies xxx

I think even when we have all reached our goal weights then the love and friendship will be here for each of us every year of our lives cos we will all need support through out the rest of our lifes. there will be many more following us and we will be able to offer many years of support for them too.

We are all in the same boat and that is helping us all the most.Those like myself that have 'been there ,done that'can give the support to newbies coming along!
I will be 1 year out on the 21st of Feb and will always be grateful to the 'oldies'that helped me.Maz x
