Is there a percentage your asked to loose

Is there a percentage amount in general the surgeon asks you to loose pre-op?

I was wondering this as I figured id kick start myself if I can I am sure he'd see how serious I am if this is this case?

Every hospital is different, where are you planning on having your surgery? I was at St Richards, and I wasn't given a target at all. In fact, the psychologist advised the team against it in my case. But as it happened I maintained.

I wasn't given an amount to lost at either The Whittington or Derby but I know that some do x

I was given 10% but make sure they no ur starting weight before u start loseing

I had my bypass at Sunderland and was asked to lose 1 stone. I lost nearly 2 and from final meeting with surgeon to operation I had to maintain (which was about 12 weeks). Good luck!! xxx

I was done at l&d and I had to lose 5% over the space of a month which at the time was approximately 1st, I managed 1.5st (this was 2 years ago) x
