Well done!! You will be ok at work, just have a bottle of water and make sure you leave half an hour before and after food..sip sip sip! I buy 509ml bottles for work so I know how much I've drunk in a day!

Thanks Karina, I am so pleased to be going back. I have too much time on my hands at the moment. Need normality. I will be sipping all day! xx

Well done Jackie, I am sure you will be fine at the conference. :)

Thanks Chrissy, hope you are feeling better today. xx

Hi Mike
Just realised where you are from, hence the question! It is a very popular breakfast cereal here in the UK.
Hope you are doing well.
Take care

Thanks Chrissy, hope you are feeling better today. xx

Think I am on the mend, the bouts of runs are less frequent. Puree tomorrow yipee. Cod in sauce, broccoli and mash sweet potato is what I have planned. Tiny portions of course lol but imagine.. Real food :D

Thanks Jackie I kind of thought it was cereal wasn't for sure .

Chrissy sounds like you are doing well . I wish you a speedy recovery and sounds good I am sure to get to real food .

Well 3 and a half weeks out now and I still cant really eat anything solid. Other from this, feel brilliant. Going back to work on Monday and really looking forward to it. Had a NSV today, got into a size 18 suit trousers from Next! I did struggle to get into a 22 before the op. I am so pleased :D:D:D

Hope everyone is ok

Yay well done you! As long as you feel ok listen to your body, it will tell you what it needs. I still have days were I really can't eat much, but like you I feel really well! Xx

Day 21

2lbs loss this week. I am happy with this. I have had a period for the 1st time in a couple of years (TMI) so I am surprised with any loss!
Feeling ok just still having trouble judging whether I am eating too much or too little.
Average daily intakes looks something like this:
B - 1/2 Weetabix
L - Liberte or Danio yoghurt
T - Pureed shepherds pie, cauliflower cheese, soup etc.
S - Protein drink (UFit) or laughing cow light wedge

After I ate my tea last night I had a fit of the gurgling and bubbling. It is so weird. Will this continue? Not sure whether I will ever get used to it!
Going back to work on Thursday but just going to work from home for the first couple of days. Then on Monday I am off to Brighton on conference for a few days. I am so looking forward to getting back to normal, however I am really nervous about eating out and at the hotel. It is mainly the thought of sitting at a table trying to co-ordinate the eating and drinking!
Anyway, hope life is good for everyone. Take care :D

Hi

Can you let us know how you get on eating out at the conference... Im also really worried about this as I have to do lots of dinners and buffet lunches with work.

I'm wondering how on earth I'm going to cope with it.

Wow Jackie that's a huge NSV. Well done indeed and also for getting back to work. It was tiring for me on Thursday and I was in bed for 9.30 but it was manageable. Take it steady x

Well done on the size 18!!
Keep with the soft foods, dont rush, if it doesnt feel right then it isnt! Its a learning curve all the way x

Hi Sarah
Of course I will. I am hoping that I can choose something from the choice of food. I understand what you mean as I do a lot of buffet lunches etc for work. I am positive that there will always be a good choice!

Thanks Debs, how you doing? They are going to be long days but I can just do what I can do. At least I know I wont be propping the bar up until the early hours ha ha! xx

Thanks Karina. I am just going to go with it. This is my life now, so I will just keep trying different things and see what I can / cannot tolerate. It certainly is a learning curve! The most important thing I have taken on board is not to compare myself with what anyone else is eating as i could get myself in such a state!
Early days!

I talked to the dietician about work buffets. She said if they have quiche it's a good option to eat the contents and leave the pastry? Eggy contents are usually fairly easy to chew and cheese and egg are good for protein. Just an idea? X

Good plan Debs! That's what I was thinking when on conference next week, stick to egg based foods. xxx

If it's hotel based scrambled eggs are readily available for brekkie as often is haddock and kippers. Yummy!

Back from conference. Was great to be back at work but boy am I tired! Managing the food was harder than I thought but I don't think I am managing much to be honest. Most days I had a small bit of scrambled egg for breakfast (2 tbsps.), lunch soup, evening meal a couple of tbsps. of fish. I could manage about 1 bite of a banana but that's about it!
I have managed to lose a further pound this week but that's it!
On the plus side, Brighton was beautiful. 39 degrees and buzzing! Loved it!
Hope everyone is doing ok
Jackie
