good luck for tomorrow paulm xx

Good to all who have their surgery soon and for all those struggling in these early days. Is baby steps and you will get there positivity is the only thing you need remember all the reasons you did this and everyday gets a little better BIG BIG gentle hugs to all of you xx

I'm day 4 post op. I'm confused though about my incisions. I have 6x sites. All with dissolving under skin stitches with a couple or little medical strip tapes over in the opposite direction then a steri strip covering. I was told to remove on day four. I can't remember if I should remove all dressings or just the steri strip ?! Anyone know?
I thing some times things aren't where they think they are and if tools won't reach they just pop another in.. Kinda looks like a stairway lol xx

Anyone know when you can start swallowing tablets after rny? Also can you just swallow dissolvable tablets. I can't stand the taste and taking me hours to actually drink it so thought I would try Just swallowing the tramadol tonight when I go to bed.

Hope robina is ok. It took me a couple of days to feel up to looking at phone let alone typing so hopefully it's just a case of needs to get anaesthetic out of her system first.

Small tablets are fine after a couple of days post op. Regular and bigguns can be broken up and swallowed with a few small sips of water.
Perhaps crush into a little yogurt!?!

Paracetamol does nothing for me either but got tramadol. Didn't stop pain but makes you not care about it.

Hope they send us home with some1 stronger than paracetamol?? They dont even shift my headches !
Paracetamol, Dicofenac & Tramadol. I took paracetamol most of the time for first couple of days and then didn't need anything. Oh and Fragmin injections which you give yourself to prevent clots

Yes corgi got all my bits n pieces n gonna pack bag tomo. Any tips on what to bring? X
You wnt need too much PJ's, dressing gown and slippers and toiletries. Bring in a couple of magazines as well. You need dressing gown and slippers to put over your theatre gown as you walk down to theatre

I was refused pain killers for home. Fragmin and a anti reflux melts only. Was worried about pain at home but haven't had enough to warrant needing meds! Guess in lucky really ?!!?
