January 2014 surgeries

I'll need to look. Which Isle? Sweets, health bars???

Got kayas in the free from section

They're on offer at tesco at moment saw them online but haven't tried them yet :)
Which ones are best to buy? Just looked online n they can be high in fat n sugar. All so different.

The nakd bars are really good nutritionally.
Which ones do you recommend Hun? There r so many n a variety of fat, sugar etc. Got lost online looking at them :/

I eat them most days, really handy fir keeping in my bag. I go for the bags with the little bites in them. If I remember right it's about 20 cals per bite but it's 20 cals of goodness and I have found that 3 fill me up.

I get mine in ASDA, they are on a stand in the fruit n veg isle.

Hi everyone. Hope everything is going well for all you losers. When can we drink properly again and not just sip drinks.

Errr I went to a party sat n had three diet bacardi n diet coke n ice. Wasn't even drunk which I thought would affect me . No probs at all. Won't do that very often tho!

Not too bothered about the alcohol side but sometimes I just want to drink a bottle of water quickly not just constant little sips. Makes it hard to get my fluid levels up. As 1 drink lasts ages.

Hi Lara, hope you are well. I have found just recently that I am managing better with fluids. Can now drink a pint in about half an hour which is a vast improvement.

Thanks guys. I have been reticent to try drink normally as so many things I read online say sip sip sip even after a year out.

To be honest I don't buy them. They are high in fat and sugar as they use dates and nuts and are quite high syns on the eating plan I follow. My bar of choice is a quest bar which I order through amazon especially from the us. Expensive but the double chocolate chunk is to die for. And the protein is super high as well as being very low cal. Alternatively I do buy the alpen lights but I have to be honest and say I don't think they offer a lot nutritionally although they are quite high in fibre.

your body will let you know. I get pain if I drink too fast but I drink a lot faster than I did in the beginning.

That's what I thought :/ I have got high protein bars still in the cupboard . Thought I might need them at guest, but didn't have the urge. My urges are fruit n salad. How things change!

I'm exactly the same as Yve. Also my first few mouthfuls of water in the morning hurt a wee bit, it's like I'm waking up my tummy and it protests a tad (just like the rest of me ;)) but can defo drink much faster the early days post surgery x
