One week today is surgery day. 1000 call pre-op diet is losing me only a very little amount of weight so hope my liver is losing its fat.

Just wanted to pop in and wish all July oppers the best of luck. I'm almost 7 weeks out and the bypass is the best thing I've done. I feel so good at the moment. Hope your journeys are all as good as mine is for me. xx

Wireman - mines a week today too, and I have lost 7lbs... I hope my liver is shrinking more than I am!

Remember guys pre op isnt about losing weight its all about the liver I did 4 weeks pre op and only lost 8lb but it must have did a good job on my liver im now 11 weeks post op

That's what I've found hard to remember Adele - I keep weighing myself and getting disheartened by the results, but at the end of the day I must be doing my liver good.. if nothing else, I've gone from having a drink every day to not drinking in 15 days! lol x

Not had a drink in 10 years here but I was/am an alcoholic thats now 10 years dry but your all doing fab on your pre ops keep it going

Hi everyone, im a little worried!. I only found out yest that my op has moved forward to the 11th July. Will my liver have shrunk enough in time do you think? I'm having the Sleeve, which I know is a slightly easier op... Think my nerves are a playing up! X

Hi cld86 I dont know the medical answer but common sense, I think the surgeon knows and believes you have enough time. Stick to your pre-op rigidly it will give you something to focus on. We all get nervouse the nearer the surgery It is only natural just stick with it. I am having the sleeve on the 9th

Don't be worried.
Have you started your pre op diet yet?
I'm sure they wouldn't have brought it forward if they didn't think you were ready.
