Have been sip siping water all afternoon. Actually went down about 12 but have been in icu ever since. Had a little bit of pain in recovery at the top of my tummy. But no pain since touch wood. Just had my first wee, which I had to force out just to avoid a catheter but I did it. Have struggled to much to stay awake. My poor hubby & brother waiting around for 5 hours before they could get to see me, and I just couldn't keep my eyes open!! They left 15 mins laterYou'll be absolutely fine hun, don't worry about it. The care that you will receive is second to none. I'm so sorry I've been meaning to tell you to not bring a few stuff such as slippers, towels and shower things as they already provide it. The only thing which I found weird but nice is that they gave me normal apple juice right after the op though I wasn't sure I was allowed it so I added water to Dilute it. They also gave me hot chocolate in a bid to get me to drink something but my appetite just wasn't there.
Haven't had the apple juice or hot chocolate lol. Just water n black tea but just came from icu and am about to tuck not chicken consume so alls good. You'll be absolutely fine hun, don't worry about it. Hi Everyone Hope you are all doing ok. I am really worried that I have damaged my sleeve already. When eating I have been getting pain but I thought this was just all part of the process. I now realise that as I am on puréed foods I may have been eating too much or too fast or too big a mouthful. In full panic mode now and have put myself onto liquids!
What kind of pain is it? Has it only just started since you've been on pueered? X
I doubt you have damaged anything, just take it easy then try again slowly. Baby spoons. Hugs.Hi Kay
I was put straight onto puree and just a sharp pain in stomach and chest. Hard to describe really.
I'm gutted! xx
I have the exact same pain and I'm only on liquids, my pain doesn't last long but is very noticeable, it's mainly when i swallow but get it sometimes when I'm sitting x
So am home. A bit miserable tbh but glad to be in my own bed.
Just cannot shake the nausea and the heightened sense of smell. Very tired after the journey, though my guys made sure it was a smooth one.
I have had very little the last couple of days. This morning was one actimel yogurt drink at 7am, 10 mins later had dreadful runs again. Could not face anything aT breakfast time proper, just watered down apple juice.
Just trying a dutch bake with a low fat spread. Melts in the mouth but even feel sick on that. Keep getting waves of shivers. Like I am freezing followed by the overwhelming feeling if wanting to throw up big time.
Wasn't like this after my band op.
Chrissy have you checked your temperature? X
Hey jackie. How are you feeling now? Don't worry I get the same type of pain too and I'm on liquids, well it's not really sharp nor painful but it definitely is noticeable and only lasts a few seconds. Lol maybe it isn't the same kind of pain lol, or does that sound familiar? Are you back on liquids now?Hi Everyone

Welcome back home weegie. I'm sorry you're not feeling too well? I hope have a speedy recovery too. Also remember travelling after a surgery is far from easy so give your body a few days to adjust and hopefully you'll feel better in no time. XxSo am home. Hey hun. That's quite strange, I was kept in for 2 nights even though you seemed like you went through a lot more than me, I wasn't in icu for long at all. So I was discharged on Monday that's probably why I was also given 2 bottles of sugar free liquid paracetamol and 2 bottles of ibuprofen, a packet of that lanza something tablet for the stomach lining and a packet of fragmin injections all to take home from the pharmacy in the hospital itself, well from the nurse. But I only needed for the 1st couple days. I wish I could give you some but hoping you wont need any. Wishing you a speedy recovery xxxJust got home Feeling pretty good. Slight pain after drinking. Had chicken consume for lunch but only managed a few spoonfuls. Came home with no medication as the pharmacy was shut. Just hoping I can make it through the night with under 6 calpol lol
