Well tonight is my last supper but hubby is in a lot of pain from his back :sigh: was having a chinese takeaway but not going to be much fun so may just have a home made curry instead then im on the milk diet (doing a week extra to make sure the liver is well shrunk ). Just want it all done and dusted now the fear has gone and the impatience set in :D

OOooooo excitement!!! lol so pleased for you mate, enjoy ya foos :D and i hope hubby gets better soon :) xxx

I'm not sure the extra week is necessary hun check with your provider. Three weeks is a long time to have to control your intake without surgical intervention. Really I'd check it with your surgeon I'm sure two weeks would be enough then you can just cut down a little this week but still enjoy your last week before the fun really begins LOL

Sweetie you put so much pressure on your self , you have way beyond what they asked of you . I know you want it done & dusted but the extra week , I don't think , will achieve much . As you said to me , what you have been eating is not a lot different to the 1000 cal option .
Relax !
xx

Decided to get takeaway delivered but not going mad just sweet n sour chicken, rice and a few chips :) Had my hair done so im all ready.
I can do the three weeks ok as there is light at the end of the tunnel, not been told when to start pre op diet by hospital so a few extra days will put my mind at rest :)

Enjoy your Chinese, I hope hubby's back recovers quickly. I can't say I'd fancy the milk diet for 3 weeks, my pre-op was the low carb one. I'd be tempted to do that for a week in advance of the milk one, still liver shrinking but with a bit of flavour!!

Good luck with whatever route you choose x

Good luck hun n enjoy ur Chinese :) x

oooooooooooo forgot spare ribs yummmmmmmmmmmmm!

Hi,

although L&D ask you to do the milk diet for 4 weeks, most of the glycogen actually leaves the liver within the first two so you won't gain any extra benefit from doing it early. However, if it gives you peace of mind, as long as you are taking regular multivits, 3 weeks won't hurt you.
