May 2014 Surgeries

Hi Debbie, congrats on the op. Glad you're doing well. I'm in the East Midlands, but I hope you find some people near you. It is good to get together with others who have been through it. xx

Hi Debbie welcome! ! Im 3hrs post op. All went well have had some water and peppermint tea. Been for a few walk but had to get the physio to pull the drip thing as was on carpet and pulled where the port is. That thing hurts and really takes the breath away when getting on off bed. Trying to catch up on sleep as didn't get much last night. I have worked taken to keeping my eyes shut when someone comes in in the hope they will go away but not working !!! Next thing is learning to inject myself in the tummy. Thanks for all your messages. Sharon

I seem to have mastered the injections, they don't hurt anymore. Glad you're OK Nutty. xx

For mine I had bloods and blood pressure taken, had an ecg and breathing / lung checks. Then went to see a Nurse who just asked loads of questions. Then onto a Physiotherapist, who tought me how to get out of bed and breathe post op. It took just under 2 hours. Good luck. xx

Mines was weight bloods ecg and general chat with nurse about past ops general health etc

Just quick update been up since 5 lots of pain at port site feel like I have had my ribs kicked in but pain meds are starting to work so easing. Told to pinch about an inch near the tummy button for injection and it didn't hurt at all. Hope to be able to go home about 10am if all's well x
