Hi Julie,
Yes there are plenty of ups and downs and no doubt plenty to come. I am definately appreciating having the site to ask for advice and speak to others who totally understand. I am focusing on the bigger picture and the future. By the way love the joke lol.
Good luck with your continued journey.

Hi CharChar,
To be honest I think I have been doing ok I had a brilliant surgeon and team at the hospital who completely put me at ease. One minute I was walking down to theatre the next I was back in my room. I had a bit of trouble with trapped wind after surgery but other than that I have been fine ( touch wood ).
I know it's hard not to worry but try not to it won't be long before it's you saying its all done and you are ok.
Good luck with your op and if you have any questions i'm here x

Thank you so much, as I sit here eating lunch. I know my life will not be the same. But I'm ready.
Your so kind. My biggest fear is throwing up believe it or not. I hate it, and am scared I will tear or rip something. I go foe preop Jan 3rd.
So I'm compiling a list of questions. I can't wait to be on that side of the fence!!!!

I think everyone has felt like that at some point it is a big decision but something that is going to probably save our lives. I think the main thing is that you speak to someone about how you feel and don't keep it bottled up. Try and focus on how this will change your life and how happy you will be. I have lost nearly 3 stone ( including pre op diet ) and I feel great. I think it's really good to ask the questions because they will put your mind at rest.
Please feel free to keep in touch.
Good luck Lyndsey xxx

Welcome, congratulations on your surgery! :)

Hi CharChar, If you are having keyhole surgery don't worry about pulling anything, I was told to cough and stretch. It's good that you are making a list of questions. Good luck.
