Newly banded

My provider says 3 days of each but some say 2 of each. I stuck to the 3 days of each. & had no problems. A week does seem a bit long

Hi Emma. Its been testing ibe had a few moments one after bread so I know thats a no no. I definitely have restriction. It took me nearly an hour to eat a chicken breast with a bit of salad which is great lol. Lost 3lb since fill im thinking slow & steady. How are you xxxx

Glad you got on well with your infill, I find it really difficult to eat salad but I keep eating it as it takes so long to eat that you end up getting full and feeling full longer. xx

Hi Donna
How are you getting on? How much do you have in your band now. I have 5mls and can really feel a difference. Can't eat very much now without feeling full and managing to go quite a few hours between my meals.
Weight is very slow to come off tho, however as long as it keeps going downwards, however slow it is, I will be happy.
Still haven't come across anything I can't eat, have you?
xx

Iv only got 3.5mls in by band, every time I go for an infill I have to have some taken out, got to go again next week but only going to have 0.5 put in this time then I think that will be it. Weight loss is going ok, went out for a meal friday and when I jumped on the scales saturday I had put on 1.5lbs, but it was worth it!. Got it back off now. Weight loss has slowed down now, losing about a pound a week. Im not rushing it, just going with the flow. Cant eat pork, omelettes, scrambled egg, sometimes chicken and salmon. one day I can eat things and then the next day I can't eat it, it's so weird. I am always the last to finish at the table too. Are you going to have any more infills? xx

Gosh Donna, you seem to be so sensitive with the fills. It's strange how we are all so different. The nurse was telling me last week at my fill, that she has a lady who has 9ml in her 10ml band. How do you know you can't eat certain foods, what happens?

Salmon is dry and hard to break down so when you chew for 20 times and then swallow it gets stuck and you cannot swallow anything else and its very painful, then you end up being sick, the relief once you have been sick is amazing you can carry on eating again lol, sound vile, also it sounds like your band is talking to you because you start making very strange noises when you open your mouth. But I can eat rice and pasta which other people cannot eat, salad is very hard to eat too, I think I just have a very sensitive band. I am happy with the results though and trying to stick to 1200 calories a day. Is there food that you have not tried yet? I've not tried bread, probably because I find it very addictive and I know that if I try I will want more and more xx

I had salmon tonight for tea with one new potato and a few green beans. All seemed to go down but feel a bit windy and very slightly uncomfortable between my shoulder blades. Think it all went down ok tho.
I still haven't tried rice or white bread. I had hovis seeded loaf before this fill, just made sure I toasted it well but not tried it since my last fill.
Definitely far less hungry since my fill, but I remember when you said you were no where near as hungry, then later down the line, it wore off a bit.
Hopefully I'm getting near to having restriction.
Leading up to my last fill I had started snacking again, especially on kitkats and wanting chocolate, but this has all gone now and haven't been looking for food at all since, which is a real pleasure.
I'm dreading bringing anything back up but I expect sooner or later it's going to happen.
xx
