Not shying away from the camera

I am due to have my op in the next few weeks and something odd seems to be happening to me.

My usual diving behind the group or hiding behind my family when the camera comes out.

I realised recently I don't really have many before photos apart from my "official" ones.

Yesterday I started on a training course at work and as usual out came the camera and there I was first in line, all the time thinking to myself by the time this qualification is complete I will be a different person.

It keeps making me chuckle to think about it.

hi jeany. one of the things im looking forward to is having a family pic done as i have never had my photo taking with my kids and hubby . my son is 14 today and that was last time i was on a photo. so really looking forward to it, wanted to do a before and after pic but cudnt bring myself to have before one done : ( gl on your journey and wish you a speedy recovery xx

Im the same going on holiday in 2 weeks and want lots of fat photos takenn as have my op 0n 11/11/11 then have another holiday planned for january and cant wait to compair! am xx

Me too ... I have always been the designated photographer so look forward to handing those particular reigns over for some of the time. I also have not bothered with a before photo but sure will bother with after ones, lol.

I'm another one who hates being in photographs - definitely not having any more taken before surgery as there are enough beached whale shots as it is!

However, unlike others, I'm not in any hurry for my photo to be taken afterwards either - and it's not to do with body shape, it's my face I hate and feel the same about mirrors as I do about cameras!

I'm off for two weeks walking holiday today and I plan to be on the right side of the camera this time. My partner is always taking sneaky pics of me because he thinks i'm gorgeous anyway (poor soul) lol and I told him that he must never show them to me because I would find them upsetting. Now though, I will be happy for him to take pics openly so that I can show them to friends and family. I love being the new me even though I have so much more weight still to lose.
Anyway, see you all in two weeks and I hope you all achieve whatever you wish for in the next two weeks.
