that sounds bad audra i would make a complaint to them its just not good enough specially when you are paying so much for the op the least you should expect is a decent pre op check

Bloody hell it's worrying isn't it. So much has change since I was hospital based 14 years ago. You may not have been able to speak to a relative straight away but you still acknowledge them. God we sound old but having cared for people with knowledge, care,dignity and respect for so many years that's all you want in return for our loved ones! I've had the same sort of thing with my Dad. That's why I alway stay with him the first night after any of his cancer surgeries. The one time I didn't all hell broke lose and he is still suffering the consequence of the poor care and treatment today! (Something I have to live with) I'd call back and make an appt for the nurse manager to call you. Then let her know your back ground what has happened and that you are documents things. It might keep them on their toes. Sad to have to do this but needs must!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I'm speaking toward manager today. It was not the wards fault but the dr made another couple of big mistake they need to know about. Hope you have a good day today and that nausea is improving. X

Grr someone has totally slated me on Facebook for eating 4 quavers. It was nice to eat something with a different taste and texture and after 4 I was so full! I used to eat 4 packets without thinking!

Apparently they are crap and don't help you heal. You don't say, but when you've been eating soup and purée for 4 weeks, the texture of a quaver feels like heaven! Lol

Kimberly, I really hope your Mum gets seen asap It always happens this time of year. My Nan is back in hospital with suspected heart failure and pneumonia :'(
Nicola, is it a friend who said that? :/ That's ridiclous. 1. Quavers melt on the tongue so no threat there and 2. There's probably fewer kcal in 4 quavers than there is in a riveta! I has a salt and vinegar twirl last night, just 1! Sucked all the flavour off and nommed the naked crisp - tasted divine! Screw who ever said that! They are not guna kill ya...

Ive not called yet, just simply have not had time
Its getting better (ish) I was drinking diluted cranberry juice to aid the stinging but it actually seemed to make it worse. Just been having hot drinks really. If not fully gone over the weekend I shall call on monday. Kai (my lil one) doesnt have nursery that day x

One month today, that does seem to have gone quickly! Spoke to the managers this morning she was very apologetic and gave me the normal blurb but is chasing up a couple of issues. Bloods done now and ECG to be done first thing Tuesday. Took my temp today and its NORMAL just have to wait now. You ok?
