I am almost 7 weeks post by pass. Last night my hubby had chippy for tea, I decided I wanted something other than 'mush' so I ordered a peice of KFC style chicken. I only has 2 'strips' of it, but it was horrible, I kept having to rush to bathroom and burp it up! I have stupidly done the same today with a thorntons choc bar. I have had a quarter and here I am again feeling like I have acid in my gullet and keep having to bring it up. Is this normal? Am I trying to run before I can walk?
As you're from Cannock I expect you will have had your GBP done at Walsall Manor? They stressed to me that the diet should be STRICTLY liquids ONLY for the first 4 weeks then puree'd for the following 4 weeks and then slowly introducing soft normal food after that.
What on earth makes you think that you know better than the surgeons that have given you this life changing opportunity by clearly ignoring what their advice tells you?
I'm sorry if this post upsets you but there are enough people on this forum who are desperate to have this sort of procedure but get turned down for one reason or another.
Please do yourself a favour and work with your bypass NOT against it.
If you need any help there are enough new and experienced bypass recipients on here to give you support.
PS.
What was your OH thinking, eating chippy in front of you anyway?
