Hi Paula,

Yes, that's right, the whole purpose of the pre-op diet is to shrink your liver sufficiently for the surgeon to be able to move it around during surgery.

If your liver is very fatty now then you'll just have to be very controlled on the pre-op and not cheat at all, so that it can shrink as much as possible. Presumably your GP will have sent the scan results to Mr Super so that he will know it was a problem to start with.
