We live in Oxfordshire, my daughter attends a special school for disabilities, they have a case there, but they are remaining open, in our area it seems they are treating it with anti virals, but not
closing schools down.
hi poppy the reason they have shut 1 of the schools here is because the staff have come down with it and theres not enough well teachers to look after the kids x

My sons girlfriend works on A&E at Hartlands Birmingham and said they have had some pretty sick people in with this Swine flu.
She said some people seem to be quite mild while others are very very poorly. I certainly don't want to catch it at the moment. My grandaughters school is closed so they have had strict instructions to stay away until I'm back on my feet..lol
Hi liz basically every school in our borough has had a bout of swine flu and no schools r be shut down which i find bad myself they say that as long as u r healthy and follow gd diet u basically pretty safe x
oink oink no not much sleep last night kids find it very funny having what they call piggy flu and keep running round oinking at me x x x x x there over the worest now and not contagious anymore they were givig tamiflu just to make sure as they both have other proplems x x x
Just an update its very contagious as my daughter has it now but without the cough ....But my son is ok now cough is a little better and its just that left .... like its been said above you are just as likely to catch it in the supermarket its inevitable :sigh::sigh:
