Really cant decide ;(

Glad it wasn't too much of a wait for you ;)
Yes what seems to be happening is 1 minute I am 100% sure I want the bypass and then something puts me off or worries me...very frustrating but yes more then often people's band diaries on here say things like put on weight, not working etc!
I am going to see a consultant on the 22nd of this month and I am really hoping he can help me decide ;( just feeling really low about if now!
My problem is everything I eat large amounts I snack on in healthy foods and binge ;( I love bread cheese sausage rolls chips and mayo Xx

Your consultant will help you considerably. Just to let you know that my sleeve has taken away any desire to 'snack'. I never feel hungry. Obviously still have to eat for nutrition & do like social eating occasions. Still love & interested in food. Still cook for family, belong to cake club, wtch food programmes on TV but just don't eat much apart from very small portions. Has been very liberating for me.

I agree with belly dancer my bypass I don't feel hungry so have to try to remember to eat! And get the food groups, large portions was one of my problems! Here if you need to talk xx

i went to my gp and in to the surgeons appt wanting a band, but after answering the surgeons questions and after seeing the dietician they decided that the bypass was for me. they said the band would not benefit 5-10yrs down the line. i had looked into all wls procedures and am now 2 days out of having my bypass. good luck

That's the same as me chick, went with the idea that I wanted a band and was told the band wouldn't benefit me as I need to loose a lot X
Thank you for taking the time to post and good luck to you too X

Hi Shabbs

Maz is right if you want to you can cheat with any surgery. Old habbits die hard and we all work hard to overcome them.

As an aside - It always amazes me when people who havent had a band have 'so' much insight into how they work - or not as seems to be the consensus. There aren't as many of us around on here but there are enough of us at goal that dissprove this theory

I don't know if anyone has mentioned that you may need vitamin B12 injections with the bypass, if you are a private patient its worth enquiring if these would be covered in the aftercare package.

Good luck with your decision. I'm sure you will make the right one for you xx

Feeling much more positive about my decision now...and looking forward to my consultant appointment ;) will 2 weeks off work be ok guys X
