Hi
Tonight I've been out with friends and once again I was the biggest, the one people looked and pointed at, all I could think of was once I'm post op and losing weight and no longer looked at as different, I know I'm not doing this for others and just for me but still it would be nice to not worry about others

Yes, but you can't be concerned about what others think. You need to do this for you. You are WORTH IT. Just think how you would feel after you lost your weight and ran into an old school mate, how they would compliment you on your looks. Just be sure this is a commitment to yourself. I had the bypass on Aug. 28 2012 yes I do struggle some with the restriction but I would do it all over again. I have lost 20 pounds since the surgery and hope to lose more. I wish you all the luck in the world. Others just want someone to talk about they have nothing better to do. Keep your head up and keep going we all have parts of the journey that we had second thoughts however most of us would do it again. Also, I have found that boiled shrimp is my protein. 4-small ones are 17 grams of protein. Well I will stop here, I could go on and on with this. YOU ARE WORTH IT!

I disagree completely. For me, starting at 30 stone, one of my nsvs was to be able to go out and not have people staring. I now feel like I'm unnoticed when I go out and I love it. I had my surgery to sort my health - emotional and mental health counts too :)

Absolutely. Being seen a strange creature that peoples jaws drop a little when you heave your self into a room isn't good for your health just as much as all the things it does to your physically body but know for sure that both mind and body benefit from this and your confidence and self belief will begin to soar, in a matter of months :) x
