Sleeved

No pain now, just a bit uncomfortable around the belly area! Had stitches out today, feel great. Walking the dog around 1-2 hours a day!

Any of you guys have problems keeping food down? I had my op sept 4th and find when I eat a load of bile comes up.

I have constantly had this problem to be honest & having another dilation on Monday to try to remedy. I can't eat very much or many types of foods. Don't get me wrong I'm fine as never hungry & having protein supplements recommended by hospital. Try eating very slowly & chewing & chewing & chewing. I'm the healthiest I've ever been in my life & 8 1/2 stones lighter. Good luck.

Opps and what's a dilation?

End of February. Not lost nothing for 6 weeks coz not eating much & body thinks its starving.

In simple terms - It's a stretch of my new stomach via an endoscope. Just a day stay. Had one before & it usually opens you up. Bit more so you can eat & keep things down a bit better.
Sometimes as you heal or due to acid reflux problems you get strictures & the opening becomes very small. The last time they saw that when I had a barium swallow the liquid was going through but very very slowly so they just stretch it with tiny instruments put through the mouth via the endoscope. You are sedated but awake & not painful.

I had my sleeve on the 27th - and yes, thehealing has been fine. The largest incision is still a little sore, but I have managed to sleep on the other side, and its comfortable!! Lost about 9 pounds since the op. I tried pureed food but just brought it back - maybe ate too quick? Will leave it and try it again in a few days. Have to be a patient patient, I guess!!
