Slimpip's Sleeve Jan'14

It does hun, I think the last time I managed to get under 17st was the first time mum and I did the cambridge diet. It was so hard and so expensive, and all I did was put it back on afterwards, plus more. God knows how old I was then...maybe 18/19 something like that.

I have my hospital appointment (I had to change it), it's on 26th August...which will be near enough 7 months since the op (would be the 29th)...it would be awesome to have lost 6st by then, 8 lbs away, but not holding myself over a barrell on that one, it'll come off when it comes off haha. X

Well done pip

Great stuff hun x

Thanks everyone...just had a lovely evening with my best friends, we are very sex and the city haha, four women just gabbing about love, sex, work etc. (minus the cosmopolitans because we were driving haha).

Hope you're all having as joyful a weekend xx

I forgot to update!! I lost 4lbs this week (up until weds). So chuffed, that's 5st11 in total, although not sure i'll have a great loss this week as I literally have the TOM from hell!!!

3lbs to go until 6st lost, seems crazy! I'm getting nice compliments at the moment so that feels nice. My one colleague is so envious of the surgery she keeps telling me she hates me, but with a nice warm smile on her face lol. I'd feel the same if I was her, I know I would.

Anywho, 5 1/2 weeks until the holiday, I cannot wait. Work is so stressful at the moment, seems like there's no light at the end of the tunnel :( xxx

Congrats super loss keep up the excellent work

Well look at your princess, amazing losses week after week!!! What an inspiration!! x

wtg pip :) hoping them last 3lb come off quick lol i'm right there with ya 4lb for me :) hope work eases off soon....... wont be long till ya holiday, time to chill out :) x x x

Thanks pip though you guys are the inspiration im just tagging along but we are all achievers in our own way be it constant losses or other non scale achievements

Thanks Princess, keep it up!

Oooh well done Crystal, great loss isn't it?

I am hating TOM this month, it's an absolute killer, I've slept half the afternoon. Oh dear :( x

My partner and I had an evening of 'sorting out our finances' this week and it was a revelation. We earn decent salaries, for this area anyway, costs are low. However, we have always looked at our friends and thought...how is it that they can afford posh holidays or a mortgage and we can't? Well...it became quite apparent, that we can afford those things, but we are dreadful with money!! I'm quite a keen member of the MSE (money saving expert) forum anyway, but I have really ramped it up the last few days to get motivated.

My other half is a spreadsheet nerd, so he put together a fancy looking spreadsheet and we have various ways of tackling our overdrafts. Firstly, we will pay overdrafts off, then our small cc debts (which are on 0% for a while yet and don't amount to much) and then it will become about saving. We should be able to comfortably save £350-£400 per month...that's between 4200-4800 per year!! Upper limit of 24,000 in five years. I mean...it's just craziness that we've been frittering it away on nonsense.

We've agreed that we are far too generous with gifts, so we are reining that in straight away. I'm sure my family and friends will find it strange the first time I get them a budget gift, but they have been truly spoilt up til now, so they'll just have to get used to it!! haha

I have found that being so proactive with the surgery, sorting out my weight which has been an issue all of my life, has meant that sorting out the money situation, which isn't dire, seems like a breeze. I feel more motivated to improve all areas of my life, alongside my body and health. Has anybody else experienced this? Or do I sound like a crazy person? X

Brilliant idea, saving and cutting cost while you can will be well worth it because there is alway some price hike round the corner well done both of you :)

Morning all, -3lbs this week. I am THRILLED. That's 1/2 stone in a fortnight, and this week was TOM so extra super duper pleased to have a good loss. I have now lost 83lbs eeek (5st13) and yesterday was my official 6 month surgiversary! 30lbs to go to initial target...if I keep going like I am, an average of 2lbs a week lets say...that's a mere 15 weeks which would take us to the middle of November. Even if that's a little ambitious, I'm hoping to be at goal by Xmas at least. Christmas is going to be good this year!!! Happy hump day everyone xxx

Well done Hun! Amazing loss!! :D xx

Thanks everyone! Must say I am really pleased with the last couple of weeks. But I did have 2 pieces of cake yesterday, damn charity afternoon event at work. Beautiful moist carrot cake, full of walnuts with a cream cheese icing. NOM, but oops! x

Forgot to update yesterday!!! -2lbs. Really pleased. Having a horrific time at work at the moment so these decent losses are keeping me in a mildly happy place. Oh to be rich and not have the concern of attending a job you despise. We can all dream huh? 5lbs to lose until i'm 15st13....eeeeek. Love to you all x

Congrats on another loss doing well keep it going soon be at target x
