Slimpip's Sleeve Jan'14

Yes Deb I did!! They were fab, what are you having done? Are you excited? X

Me neither hun and I really really hope we keep in touch to share our journeys. I had a slight mishap with dinner, I pureed some beef stew and had some cauliflower cheese (made soft and chewed thoroughly), and it was so nice I ate it too fast. Oh dear. I didn't throw up, just!!! But I felt like someone was stamping on my chest and it was not at all comfortable, que leaning over a bowl for 10mins. But....it went down fine and after waiting for 30mins I managed to eat some more and that sat fine. MUST EAT SLOWER DAMNIT!!!!! xx

I'm also learning that I MUST take my lansoprazole everyday or it even gets difficult to drink for me. Eating slower is definitely a good idea!!! Cauliflower cheese sounds yummy! May need to try that one. Hope your day's been okay. :)

It's been good thanks hun, more snuggling with the dog. I do feel like I'm having such a nice easy ride of this so far. I have more energy the last few days and it's getting better by the day. Long may this continue :) x

I am having a bypass thought about a sleeve but think a bypass is better for me. Yes very excited., cant come soon enough!
Who was your surgeon? I am having Reira., he seems really nice. The only downside is shrewsbury is an hour or so away for me.. But i will only be in s few days x

dog snuggles are the best :) great news on the energy hun. Mine slowly coming back..... yay long may it continue and get better and better :D

Thanks Crystal, my mum was saying to me today that even though she has seen the rough times at hospital etc, overall she would still have it done (she's a size 18). I keep encouraging her to do it but I'm not sure she ever will. I raided my old wardrobe from when I lived there and found some right gems for when I get to a size 18, including a shift dress I bought as a 'Goal' dress when I was about 21 (5 years ago and I still have never flipping fit into it) and a pair of gorgeous jeans (also a size 18) and the most exciting thing is...I know I'll get into them, it's not IF it's WHEN. x

thats fantastic pip :) think eventually when healing all done and eating under control we will all not look back. Great news on the clothes too wont be long before your in them and smaller still !!! My hubby been treating me already just cheap and cheerful to get me by. The rest will soon be off to the charity shop yay x x x

Deb I had Mr Sigurdsson to operate but my aftercare was done by Mr Rink as I think Mr Sigurdsson had leave or something after my op as I only saw him for 30seconds and then he vanished. Mr Rink was so lovely though too :) And I also met Mr Rierra, so the whole bunch haha. He's very charming indeed.

Clare - thanks hun, you gotta be positive haven't you? I do strongly believe that if you think something will be bad, it most probably will be :)

Crystal - I live in Hereford which has one of the most concentrated number of old people ever!! The charity shops round here are no good whatsoever, lots of beige haha. I will be glued to Primani I'm sure, but think I'll be fairly ok until my size 18's start falling down. I don't remember being less than an 18. I mean, obviously I was once, but I don't remember. Can't wait XXX

I have Rierra he is very nice.. So excited cant wait. You seem to be going well, your posts are very interesting..... Great insight into how it is after the op.

Thanks Deb, I have been a bit naughty really, I've always hated rules that's why I could never stick to WW, SW, Cambridge etc and I certainly haven't stuck to these rules very well BUT I do listen to my body and think that will be my guide for what I ought to be doing. Might not be a tactic for everyone, but it's working for me so far :) x

My hubby went off to the charity shops see if he coud find me a coat and gave up. He ended up in QS as they were cheaper lol ok not great quality but i wont be in em for long+ they've got their sale on at mo. Leggins £3 amongst other bits just stocked up in different sizes lol tbh my current wardrobe a bit sad, being big and not leaving home, it was getting pretty dire so i certainly wont be sad to see em go. I looked other day ........... hangers full on hand me downs or boot fair bargains, whatever fitted really. I'm already feeling a little more special in me new knitted leggings purple top and luvvvverly chunky cardi :) starting already to feel a bit more like myself lol

Bring on the 18's hun 16's 14s 12's ooooooh

God can you imagine?? Well I doubt I'll hit a size 12 before getting pregnant, it'd be a miracle if I did...but in 1 years time we'll be trying for a baby so the main goal is just to get healthy!! But it will be the most glorious feeling on earth when I get preggers and you can actually tell I'm pregnant, not just fat haha! X

My letter came through today for my 6 week appointment, 14th March in Telford...exactly 4 weeks today. It's quite exciting and a little bit nerve wracking aswell incase they find out something's wrong (although I'm not sure if it's not just a chat really?). It's weird to think what I will weigh in 4 weeks time as I'm fairly certain this week won't be great because I am having the mother of all period's at the moment (sorry for tmi). Whenever I've been losing weight before, everything just halts while I'm on, no fair!!! I've been reading about people's fast and slow losses, stalls and sudden drops etc and I really really need to keep in mind that some weeks I may not lose at all, however strange it may seem. As long as the overall pattern is a downwards one, and I'm losing inches, then that's all that counts isn't it? But I bet you I'll kick up a fuss when I have a bad week haha, you've been warned xx

I think things like that re....oooo what will I weigh by my birthday lol! I'm hoping trip to Royal Ascot in a slinky number :) lol...
Just remember to not be too disappointed, your bound to be a bit of a mardy bum aren't we all x

Hey Pip!

Hope you're doing well!! :D

Just seen your stats, 2stone gone already! Well Done!! xxx

Thank you Helen! That's really nice of you to say :) You've lost 65lbs already, I'm in awe!!! X

Hi Pip and ladies,
I am in awe of you all, you are all doing so well. maybe you should set up a clothes swap shop! I am seeing my Dr next week to get referred, he has already suggested he would so don't see any problems there. still making me nervous though, but I need to get a life before I am much older!! Wish me luck.
