I love the idea but have never worn heels have had wedges but usually flats for me, i have had heel spurs on and off and sore heel of my foot also but when i was younger i worked out doors and always wore work boots so am happier in flats or very low heels inch n half are like 6" heels to me.but all the best and keep trying them out. xx

I bought 4 inch heels for my hubbys birthday party & lasted a couple of hours before changing into flats. If it is your first time for a long time, buy some party feet gel insoles to make things a bit easier on your tootsies :D:D xxx

Wearing any kind of heels when I was big was uncomfortable as hell.
Now I can wear and walk in them so much better,it's took 9 stones loss to now being able to wear them.
Used to get bad heel pain when I was a big one!

Not worn high heels in years, in fact I live in Uggs and Crocs mostly....can't wait to get my feet into some lovely high heels :dooney:

Me too. Sooo wanna get back into heels. Envious of my lovely sister wafting round in her Jimmy Choos & christian louboutin's but she's promised me I can lend them when I feel ready. Still in comfy flats but managing some kitten heels & wedges when I go out now.

We exert three times our body weight of pressure in our feet when in heels. Hence they are difficult for most of us while heavy.

I am just over 6ft 2, so I think heels will still be out of the question for me. Even if I get slim :(

When I was young and thin(ish) I used to wear heels all the time, even to work which involved 2 buses with a mile walk at the end. Don't dare wear them now in case they break.

You've got me excited at the thought of wearing them again!

One of the things I remember is you had to train yourself to wear them. I had these lovely platform boots. I am now wearing boots with a 3/4 inch heel to start to train my ankles to support the extra pressure.

I used to think this Fuffs but now I say **** it and wear them anyway. My only rule is not to look down on hubby. Our big feet actually make the heels a bit more comfy I think and I have to say skinny jeans and 4 inch heels look awesome even in a size 16 on us tall girls.
I wasted too many years being self concious about my height. Now if people remark I don't care. And they remark quite a lot! The usual is that I look so much slimmer and SO much taller ! So I may as well wear the heels and enjoy them :D

Does make a lot of sense :) me and my partner are the same height, so I only wear flats around him. But if I ever get into skinny jeans, and am walking down my road like its runway, I may give them a go then. Some nice stiletto heeled boots. Yummy! Lol

I wanted to be able to wear knee boots,
Well I can now...Woohoo,
One problem..I've ended up with one calf bigger than other now I'm 9 stone down.
So I have one boot tighter than other!!
It drives me mad

Ove four stone lighter I'm back in four inch heels all day at work, my feet ache a little at night but four stone ago were agony - intact I wore ballet type flats all day but now I'm all eyes on louboutin! :)

Have you seen the ads for the Louboutin exhibition. I must try to visit that. Sounds like heaven & now can't eat chocolate a girl's gotta have some pleasure?
