Surgeon said a diff diet to NOSC ?

I have booked my gastric band through National Obesity Surgery Centre .
Dr Byrne from the Spire in Southampton will be doing the surgery .
When I saw him he told me to do a 1000 calorie a day diet 2 weeks before surgery . So I thought that was a good idea .
Then yesterday the company sent me a pack with diets also , but none of them are 1000 calorie diets .
Which should I follow ? The doctor or the company ?

Maybe a quick call to the team to confirm which you should be following.... the pre op diet is to ensure your liver is small enough in order to operate safely.... be on the safe side hunni good luck x x x

I was under Mr Byrne lovely man. I had a bypass under Nhs at Spire I think he works for so many groups however I followed a no added sugar 800 cals I think. Each company suggest different diets so best to check

I called the Spire and spoke to Dr Byrnes team and they told me to follow the company's diet sheet ..
So today begins my journey , scary but feeling relieved
