Post Opper
That's what I'm worried about. It's difficult trying to coordinate these things. Probably just as stressful as the op itself.
Yes it must be for you - maybe your hubby can take some time off - do you have a date yet? x

Its a genuine offer vicky. I know it might sound weird as im a stranger and all that. But id rather someone was there for you. Its very much a big deal this surgery lark, and your only 45 mins away x
Hi Vickylou,
I will probably be on my own when I have my op. Am planning to travel in to the hospital on day of surgery on public transport (1 x train, 1 x bus) exactly the same as I have done for all the pre-op appointments (obviously before I go in I will be fit and able to carry my small case/overnight bag etc).
I am *hoping* to be able to get a London friend to collect me and drive me home, altho that will mean persuading a friend (who all work full time like me) to take a day off work.
My family (79 year old Dad and 2 x married brothers) live 110 miles away in Dorset and I'm not expecting any of them to come up.
I am 43 and have been single forever (bar 2 short lived relationships) so am used to doing things on my own, travelling / holidays, going to the cinema on my own, etc etc.
You do mention a mum, sister and a hubby in a few of your posts -- it sounds as if you have quite a few family close to you, who you *could* possibly rope in to staying with you on the day of the op! (Hubby, surely?)
i have to be at the hosp for 6.30am on a saturday morning im lucky i have a very good family and friend my best friend will be taking me and staying untill im out of my opp and i feel fine i have a 2 year old little girl who will be saying with my mum so pro wont have any visits but i also will be taking my laptop with me so can chat to everyone x
good luck to you and im sure your be fine x
also think its so lovely that people have offerd to come with you from this site what lovley people you all are x
Im on referral two at the moment. I was turned down first time. Told to gain weight and try again. Lol. So, kinda waiting in line to wait in line. Him getting time off not the problem. That's definitely a possibility. It's the motivation on his part missing.
No I haven't got a husband! No sister either, i have a sister in law but she has kids to sort for school and nursery as my brother works away. My mum is disabled so nobody can come
My apologies for misreading ... I have just gone back to page 2 to see where my eyes went wibbly wobbly or sumfink .... and it is vickyx who mentioned a hubby.
Soz, i got confused between the Vicky's.
