I work for boots, I should have got them from there really! I feel great Mimi! I have no restriction at all though and can't wait for my first fill. Although I don't feel hungry at all I can eat larger portions which I don't want to do. I've been eating from a side plate but tonight I ate more, it was vegetables and healthy stuff but I don't want to go down that route. But in general I feel fantastic. All my scars bar one have healed fantastic, I'm really impressed with that. The big scar has been the only one that looked a bit dodgy but I got it see to at the docs, now it's itching like mad all around it! But I feel great. The first week was tough, the first few days were really painful which is to be expected, the paracetamol didn't touch the pain but once I started the effervescent paracetamol and codeine it made the world of difference, I cannot believe just two and a half weeks ago I had this done and now I'm back at work and feel fine. I hope you recover as well as I did. The strange thing is, since the surgery I have slept like a log, ive always slept really well but now I'm dead to the world, don't hear my partner come to bed or get up, I never sleep through my alarm never but now I have once or twice. I'm excited about my future, and even though itis going slower than I would have liked at the minute it's finally starting to move so I'm in a great mood. Although I am going out for a few drinks tomorrow and I'm nervous about how it will affect me:-/ I will be sensible though and alternate with water. I'm frightened of getting a hangover now too because I'm always sick with a hangover and can't afford to be sick now. So will be semi sensible. I'd rather eat the calories than drink them
Getting bad cravings tonight could just eat a donor kebab and chips washed down with diet Pepsi that's my take out.
Don't have it very often but its nice when we do,still iv come to bed to read my book.
Hi mimi how are you feeling today. Wishing you lots of luck for tomorrow. Not that you will need it. Hope it all goes well woohoo it's so exciting! I can imagine that you will be a bit nervous too. But it will all be done and dusted hopefully this time tomorrow, can't remember what time you said you were having yours. Let us know you are well when you get chance x
Ah, I had to be there for seven am then I went down about one. Have you remembered a dressing gown? I nearly didn't bother as it was really warm, I didn't realise it was to cover your bum on the walk to the theatre
Ha ha I know!! I couldn't fasten the gown at the back not because of my size but it was really fiddly. You wear your slippers and dressing gown over your hospital gown to walk to theatre then they take your slippers off you and dressing gown and take that back to your room.
That was sweet of your husband and kids! I got to the hotel I was staying at the night before and my partner had sent a good luck card because he was away. Then when I got home he had flowers delivered. X
Yes but I think u worry about everything.
My consultant said have slimfast for breakfast and lunch then have a low cal meal for my tea which I have been but my hubby read on the internet that in order to shrink the liver no must eat no carbs .
don't worry it will have done its job, there's different types of carbs, even milk has carbs in. Everyone at this stage thinks what if..but I bet you're done n dusted before we know it. Op itself is only 45mins but you're pretty groggy n sleepy after, just go with your body tomorrow! So exciting
