The Raw Truth from the start

Hi bella my last fill was straight through the middle of my scar which was still red and a but sore, but the fill wasn't too bad it hurt a but more then normal but not too bad , hope this helps you xx

my periods have stayed the same but i wonder if they change because of the weight you lose.some people as they get bigger they stop and then when they lose weight they start again and they would properbly be different.
may be thats whats happening to you Bella maybe as you lose weight they are changing,if they continue to be difficult maybe you could see your doctor about going on the pill to help or some other medication.

Thank you Snack, good to know, at least I can mentally prepare myself for the strong posibility it is going to be through my scar. If they don't bonus but I think as the position of my port is directly under my scar it is safe to say that is what is going to happen, yikkes!

Thank for sharing Mimi, but I have never had any problems in that department, they have never stopped before and have always been the same amount of days for the same flow (geez I am trying to put this in a lady like manner lol) and now it is really weak and lasting twice as long. Oh well if I guess I will wait and see what next month brings and if it is still not my normal cycle I will get it checked out.
Thanks again Mimi :)

Bella I have pcos so mine are always all over. About two weeks post op I went through the same as you. Really weak but went on for nearly three weeks before I lost patience and took something to stop it my doctor gave me. Haven't bled since x

Thank for sharing Lola. That is weird isnt it? I do not have PCOS to my knowledge but who knows? Exactly the same happened to me, odd :S

Thanks for sharing Mimi and Lola. I can feel my port is under my scar that is the worrying thing. Also I cannot sleep on my left side it makes the port really uncomfortable. But yesterday morning I woke up and was on my left side and to my shock horror my port was sticking out under my skin, I though ''oh cr*p'' pardon my french ladies. The panic I felt in that moment was indescribable. Thankfully I rolled over to my right and it was not protruding under my skin any more. It was a horrendous moment if I am honest.
Also if you do not mind me asking both of you a little bit of a personal question. Has having the band effected your monthly cycle? Mine have not been so heavy and lasted twice as long, I am not sure what is going on it has never happened before and I am pretty fed up with it and wish it would just end already. But because it is weaker and a smaller amount it is taking forever to be over. Anyone had that experience?

PS LOL @ Mimi morning poo :D :D :D
Hi Bella. Not periods, in fact the opposite! I wrote in diary earlier today that my hot flushes - which were hideous - have stopped entirely. In reply another fellow Banders said her periods had started Ben though she has coil and shouldnt have them. Must mess with the hormones I think. T xxx

Hi Tracey, yeah I think it must be a hormonal thing too. Pain in the backside (not literally :)) but strange all the same.

Lost 2 lb this wk .
But really hungry going onto sloppies tomorrow should be better.

My dietician sent me all the latest info so I'm all up to date.

That's good. I'm looking forward to my next fill, and bizarrely I looked forward to going back to two days liquids then two days sloppies.its not so much hunger with me at the moment as just wanting to eat everything in sight!x

You only have liquid for 1day and sloppies for 1 day next fills.

See that's where they are inconsistent, the have told us all different things, one lady was told three days, the dietician told me two days and the nurse said two days too. I did three days liquid just because it was more convenient for me at the time. You would think they would have some training so they tell us all the same thing. She said two days liquid as it might be a bit swollen to start, but I felt fine x

i was told the first fill we have to do 3 days liquid 3 days sloppies then fills after this 1 day liquid 1 day sloppies.i also read that on the sheet they give you to read before the fill.

At my first fill she said two days. I can't see how much difference a day makes mind. And I felt fine. I quite liked doing the liquid stage again despite hating it pre op!! :)

Now I found the liquid diet hard going this time but I'm ok on sloppies .

Just play by the rules you were personally given ladies and all will be fine. Well done on your loss Mimi! :)

Iv started upping my excersise but not sure if I'm ok to start jogging a bit I'm 6 wk out.

Hey Mimi Lola and Jo,

Just wanted to share I went for my first fill today and the port could not be located. I was injected 8 times around my scar and nothing. I left the clinic with the empty band I arrived with :( Sucks big time!!!

@Lola the paper I was given today in the waiting room said liquids 24 hours then soft foods 24 hours. But the booklet I have at home from THG says 3 days for each too! A tad frustrating all this conflicting info....
But it does not concern me yet, no fill!!! Ha ha ha. Well I have to laugh as I am not going to cry. Did that on the car ride home to my Mum, tears over, move on....
