the worst has happened

i went to see my surgeon on saturday, and my port and tubing have dis connected.

iv got to go back to belgium to have it repaired!!!
im going back 14th november!!!

oh no that's terrible? hope you are not in too much discomfort! I am just 5 days post op and I really feel for you having to go through with it again, is it going to be like you start again or you will recover quicker than the first operation? big hugs coming your way xxx

hi all,

i found that i had no restirction, so i booked a fill, iv recently dropped another 2 stone so thought it was down to weight loss.

i joined a boot camp recently and woke up one morning in intense pain. i made 3 trips to A&E who were flumoxed. they thought i was having an ectopic pregnancy.
they then told me they thought id just pulled a muscle in my stomach from the excercise and said ill be fine in around 2-3 months.

When i was with my Dr having my fill he injected the syringe into my port and with drew air bubbles.
he then went on to say that my port and tube have disconnected, have i done any intense abdominal excercise???

so i said yes.

he asked if i was having any pain!

then my partner and i put 2+2 together.

my surgeon said that everyday hospital doctors just dont know enough about bariatric surgery still as if a patient with acute abdominal pain and a gastirc band comes in, then bobs your uncle!!!

iv got to wait until november as yes i have to pay a further 1000euro as i have my surgery in belgium.
however ill be first surgery of the day (6.30am) and will be discharged by 2pm.
Surgery only takes 15mins lol

we will drive to belgium on the sunday stay overnight have surgery monday morning and be home in time for eastenders lol!!

Good luck with everything ... I expect it seems a long time to wait to get it sorted, but the time will quickly go, and everything will be back to normal!!! I knew there was a reason for not exercising!!
