Turns out it wasnt a blood clot.

But it was a collapsed lung. It turns out my body has healed itself so i'm ok now but was very scary. Upside is that i dont have to worry about having any more medication for it or any more of those god awful anti embolism stockings.

Im fine now. By what i can gather by the literature i've read it takes either a gun shot or a knife wound to cause it. Well the only knives that would've been near me would've been surgical ones, so apart from that no idea.

Infection or fluid build up can cause lungs to collapse, I spent two weeks in ICU having had mine collapse two years ago, it can be a slow recovery so take care and do the breathing exercises x

There was no infection or fluid build up. It happened on the same day as my surgery. Not been told any breathing exercises to do, i was sent home from hospital and just told that i had had a collapsed lung but it had healed up.
