Just tired of the waiting?

Or just tired? ;)

Hi Natalie, I'm not a massiiiive lover of RnB. But then I'm of an age when RnB meant something different. ;)

Have never watched Grey's Anatomy. Seen a couple of trailers and though I'd give it a whirl but then the remote becomes surgically attached OH's hand and that's it.

I loved Life on Mars and bought the DVD sets. I watched them again the other week. Quality. :D

I love CSI!!!!

xx

I have got my appointment :D

5th Feb at 7:55pm :D

I am so chuffed...

God bless Lesley :D

ah, im really happy for you Rach. The wheels are finally in motion!

Brum WLS Meet - come on you Massiiiiiive!

Calling all the Massiiiiiiive! If you are intending to come to the Brum WLS meet on Saturday 28th February 2009, 1.00pm, Nelson's Staue in t'Bull Ring... then please add your name to the growing list on the Birmingham WLS Meet thread. Cut and paste from the post above and add your name to the list on your post.

As soon as I have a rough number of how many we have attending, I can sort out a venue for lunch or whatever. I think somew are looking to stay over in Brum (we have some people travelling from further afield).

I am so chuffed :D

Ive just rang Tracey Lowe regarding funding. She said she is currently sending off the funding applications for patients seen at the end of December so was too early to even confirm that I am on any type of list.

She advised that I leave it a month before chasing again as she said it could still be another week or so before my file is even sent to her by Dr Hartland.

Ouch, that is a bit of a back log isnt it… :(
xx

Fantastic news Rach, its another step in the right direction.

Sam hang on in there she's been off for a couple of days so is probably a bit cheesed off at being back. Give it another while (2-3 weeks) and I have found out the detail from BEN PCT of how to contact and ring them and see if she has any news on your funding apllication.

yeh Im not panicking yet Terri. Ive realised that me stressing about everything isnt going to make it happen any quicker! As long as I know I'm in the system and being processed (albeit slowly) I'm happy.

Had some good news today anyway! I applied for a job recently and there were over 6000 applicants for 45 positions. Ive made it through to the first stage of the recruitment procedure which is a day of aptitude tests. I believe 500 have been processed to this stage which means my odds have just increased from about 1% to 10% of getting a formal interview.

Im feeling MUCH brighter today.

Thank you guys....and Sam you will get it :D

Great news Sam will keep my fingers crossed

Rock n roll Sam! I think a few preparation sessions over nice coffees is called for!

PS. You obviously completed your application in black pen. lol! :D

My application for funding was first sent (to the wrong PCT!) on 22nd December - that was just iver 6 weeks after my initial appointment at WM.

Waiting is a PITFA but at least we do know the pathway and which person to call where to check on the progress.

thats really helpful hun, thanks x

Sam - your application will go through in due course, and you just need to chase her in 3 weeks or so, and hopefully she'll be processing them. Mine (I went on 14 November) still hasn't gone in to my PCT. :(

Rach - congratulations on your date!! I hope you feel a bit better about it all now, although I know how hard it is to stop worrying and think, well it's all very well but what if I don't get funding after I've seen the consultant... Just try not to stress about things you can do nothing about at the moment - until you've seen the consultant, there is absolutely nothing you can do about funding, so try to keep the next couple of weeks stress-free.

Lorns...xxx
