Hi Nat sorry to hear your in so much pain, it might be worth ringing Mr Khans secretary and telling them how much pain your in and that you are finding it very uncomfortable to eat and is there any chance you can have the ops bought forward if not go to your gp and get them on the case. If not get PALS involved and see if they can get the process speeded up. And don't apologise for moaning thats what we're here for.

Has it been sent anywhere? Mine was initially sent to the wrong PCT.

Hi Red - no it hasn't been sent out yet, it is on Ana's desk waiting to be sent to Tracy. :sigh: I think, like every one of us, it's not the waiting for the op so much that is frustrating, but the pre-stuff, most particularly waiting to see if you have funding or not. If you have, you can relax and just get on with your life until the pre-ops and op. If you haven't, you know you need to get to work sorting out your appeal.

It'll get there one day no doubt!!

Hi Tes, it's Lorna Saum. Just realised if I google myself (who hasn't!!!) (googled themselves that is, not googled me!!), then the first things that come up are minutes I typed when I worked for Stoke PCT!!! I used to have to go to board meetings and take the minutes, and minute disciplinaries and stuff, it was very hectic and very very stressful.

That's what I do in HoB PCT. When I'm there.

Hello All, I am Neil from Dudley, I am currently waiting for a gastric bypass. I had my first appointment in early November and last friday finally recieved a letter saying I have funding, I chased the funding a few times and was told that there was a delay because of christmas, my doctor said that it was probadly due to budgets, and they want to push me into next years budget.
I have recieved my next appointment dates from the hospital of late March and late April with surgery probadly May.
My wife was kind enough to ring them today to have a chat with them, the woman at the hospital said that there was currently 98 patients on the list.

Red, I do NOT envy you the job. I enjoyed it to start with, although hectic and neverending, I worked for a lovely director. However, she left when she didn't get her job when she had to reapply 2 years or so ago, and I got a new boss. She wouldn't give me any time to type up the Trust Board minutes and as you know they have to be done in x amount of time. I had to skive a day just to type them up, it was ridiculous. Anyway, over and done with now and love my job, even if we have just found out we're merging with the Co-op!!! It is an exciting time and I am just looking forwards now!!!

Hi Neil, welcome! We look forward to hearing your news as it happens, and I have to warn you, some people here do (god forbid) have a bit of a laugh!!!
