Saw doctor late Sept/early Oct. Initial appointment at WM 6th Nov. First pre-op appt 20th March = roughly 24 weeks.

I am wondering if Stoke PCT funding is already in place when you are referred, as there seems to be no waiting for funding approval. Just a thought.

me too Red was abouto post something very similar, lol

Rachael isn't under Stoke PCT if you mean because her journey is so fast, or at least I didn't think she was!! Rach, please confirm!! Teen is though.

I am under North Staffordshire, referred mid August, had weight management clinic appt seeing everyone (except psychologist) on 14 November, funding application sat around forever and was eventually confirmed a week ago. No sign of a pre-op date. So far 26 weeks!! If I get a pre-op after Rach, which I presume is likely because she's had a date and I haven't yet, even a week later, will mean approx 39 weeks from referral to pre-op! When I saw them in November I asked if I was safe to book Grand Prix tickets for August BH weekend in Belgium, as well as 10 days camping before that on the Dutch coast. Yes, no problem, you'll be done and dusted way before then, loads of time to recover beforehand! Well it just isn't working that way, and I'm glad I haven't booked, because at the rate I'm going I won't get an appt for my op until mid-late June! Don't want to be going to Belgium only being able to eat sloppy food!!!!

Sorry - just feeling a bit whingy today! Have phoned hospital and I've definitely not been given a pre-op date yet, just that I'm on the waiting list.

Could be as I was 16 weeks from Dr to op

My friend Ange from 'the other forum' was only something like 16 weeks as well, and she is under Stoke PCT.

Funding does work differently when your from out of area....

Are we all out of area if we are not from Walsall?

Hi all I have been catching up on all the threads and Sam I totally understand your frustration I got seen at wm in July was told I will go on the waiting list straight away and they waited for my funding first and I have only just got on the list in January and my pre op is in march I think u should keep on at them every few days if u have to also phone ur pct in a month just to see if a decision has been done that's exactly what I had to do Hun but it won't be long but I think Walsall is out of order and they should do a first come first serve no offence anyone

a mate of mine when to see his Dr about wls 3 weeks ago to ask to be refered. He saw Mr cheruvu's people just over a week later at the north staffs he is waiting for appointment for some tests to be done. Will see how long it is he has to wait

Evening all. Sam, massive well done and huge huge good luck for Monday. Glad Mr H helped reassure you as to the barmy world of WM procedures.

Am issuing an official warning to all you brummigans, that there will be a scouse invasion next week :D Off to Northfield to visit the in-laws for a couple of days.

what days are you down here Shel? Will you have time to travel to the north side of the city and perhaps meet a couple of us for a coffee?

Possibly on Tuesday early evening? We're down Tuesday morning, procedure is at 12 noon, so in theory if hubby went he'd be home by 4pm-5pm at the latest. We're coming back Wednesday morning so not down for long.

I have got to say i think that Tracey Lowe is rude and well...rude!!!
