Cheers chickadees.
Shame about the red wine and port not being official diet; it's very easy to follow
So, charliegirl is on her way and Allie is recovering.
Terri has less than a week to her 1st pre-op and me and Natalie are pre-opping on the same days. Sam has finally had funding news & Lorna is getting her boxing gloves on.
It's a-movin' on.
What time are your appointments Natalie?

How are things going with you
how long did you all wait between getting your waiting list letter, and then getting your letter with the pre op appointments on?
Hey all,
I have spoken to Dr.Hartland and i asked for a rough estimate (timeline)
he said that i am looking at September...and told me what sort of procedure i will be going through so...yay!!
xx
did he clear up what the appt was for rach?
Ive now received official confirmation in writing that I am on Mr Khans waiting list!
The letter is dated 20th Feb and says the current waiting time is approx 20 weeks which will take us to 10th July!
great news Rach... now you know it won't clash with your holidays!
As terri said though, do you know what your next appointment is for now? Have you got funding yet?
Well i mentioned funding and he told me not to worry about it...so i was like...erm ok..
Mr Khan is very nice, an extremely warm person.
I'm fine, things progressing slowly. Spoke to the PCT on Friday who have told me when their next panel date is (12 March), and basically told me the hospital were using the wrong information. I decided there was no point apportioning blame and wasting energy on that, so had a nice conversation with the lady who had called, about the state of the postcode lottery etc! She said she would keep an eye out for the individual funding application to come through and let the hospital know if there were any bits missing which they needed. Oh, and the reason I was refused was because my BMI is not over 50. I did say it had been last year but that I'd been too embarrassed to tell my doctor (particularly as I thought the criteria was over 40, hence no need to tell him the shameful truth, he could use the previously recorded weight!!!).
Today I phoned the hospital but unfortunately apparently Mr Khan wasn't available when Tracy went to see him on Friday, but she will try to get the application off this week. She knows the panel date now. I have also sent Ana a couple of points I would like included, if appropriate at this point.
So, I have done everything I can at the moment! It's a pain it's this time of year, too close to the end of the financial year. I'm staying positive though, it will happen one day!
