Kirsten our bariatric nurse isn't keen on us taking protein supplements at all. She said she'd rather we get used to getting our protein in normal ways, from food, even though it's not easy to get it all in. I bought a MASSIVE tub of pea protein (couldn't get kosher whey protein) and I don't think I've had it more than once, and it made me so sick I never tried it again. Anyone want it?
I tried my 1st ever protein shake just now.. Holland and Barrett strawberry.. . Well it was ok.... Nothing truly amazing but what was I expecting lol.... I was wondering do you think it's ok to blend fresh fruit in with these protein shakes?? Or even a yogurt? .. Just thinking of ways to snazz it up.. As I got a huge tub full.... Xx

On that note my dietician didn't like us doing that either we have to eat healthily as much as possible without using powders and shakes, think if you have problems with food you may need them though. No counting calories just being aware of portion control and healthy food. xx it does differ from 1 hosp to another xx
