My fitbit said I burned off 1239 calories today. MFP states I took in 1266. I don't really understand the deficit bit?
A fitbit is a activity tracker (pedometer) so it tells you how many steps you take, plus how many calories you burn. Also it tracks sleep, and you can keep track of the food you eat (join it up to mfp) The 10000 steps is said to be 'for fitness' lol it was a recommendation from my hospital too ...... it is a challenge to achieve everyday.......everyone has a real life to maintain too but beneficial with our weight loss..........What is a fit bit please? Last year I took part in a corporate challenge at work whereby you had to do 10,000 steps a day. You had to do it from the end of May through to September. I managed to do it by being at the gym at 0630 before work. There were challenges through it like doubling your steps, etc. I had an oncology appt in the October thinking I will have lost loads of weight with all that exercise and I put on 2kg. I just got disheartened then so reading all your stories I want to have an op today!!! Everyone seems to be doing so well but I don't think I will be using the fitbit as I think that would be a step too far. I would just be constantly checking it and there's not enough time in the day for that!!!!

Sometimes I take mine for a short stroll if I'm just short of 10kWTG Kirsty fantastic stepping I think it helps knowing intake v output i know for certain i would have not lost what i have without my fitbit. Its my motivation everyday Off out for my last puppy walks now will post steps on my return
Today i've been on a mission LOL hubby really upset me this morning saying 'i'd lost focus' soooooooo take that !!!!! 24147 a massive 11 miles on my clock............. i must have made John O' Groats by now??? will check in morning night all sleep well (i know i will) x x x x
