A Step in the Right Direction

Just approaching my third day of 10k. Just walked the dogs on the beach for 1.5 hours n fit bit only recorded 18 mins activity! No idea why as I wasn't walking slowly either :( any ideas? The paces went on. Went from 3-9 k
I had to walk that long as I bought a de lish cheese cake slice from a deli this morning to share with hubby lol. I'm gonna suffer :/
Hope everyone is pushing their paces, loving this fit bit it makes me do it ;)))
I refuse to have less than 10k a day this week, fingers crossed :)))

You have to go some to get those active mins LOL i was out walking for over 2 hours earlier and i only registered 45 active mins LOL but wtg hun thats a great achievement :) gooooooo girl x x x x
12,678 for me today. Two long walks with the dogs and a couple of hours going round Gretna gateway shopping outlet
wooohoo Kirsty lol retail therapy steps seem to be the easiest to clock up lol wtg thats a fantastic number i may have to step out a bit more LOL :p
 
3.5 hours to go and 57 active minutes and over 15k steps via walking today.!!! I've not stopped lol -another badge for me. Feeling an achiever today :)
 
wooohoooo girls :) ali thats a real achievement wtg your enthusiasm is infectious LOL its getting me motivated to get cracking.........my steps have been a little on the low side last couple of weeks.... got to kick it up now to keep up + i must nearly be at John o' Groats by now LOL

yes lets do this LOL battle to the very last step LOL ............... i've just been to fitbit and checked my progress to John o'groats 1,153.86 is my total so far so nearly there :) i must hit 15k tonight to keep you somewhere in my sights lol its harder to achieve now the days are shorter but am going to kick it up...........Now aiming for 15k every day OMG!!! i must be mad LOL but for sure no less than 10k............ :) sometimes we need a little motivation thanks Al :)

Did you think you were adding my share of steps to make it easier for me Hun?....yes back in the land of living and finally out of ICU tonight so hopeing to stay out of it. Taking one step at a time now but finally on the other side and thanks to your healing prayers I'm still here....well sort of and hoping it will be calmer if not straight forward. Big big hugs and loads of thanks xxx xxx

With only a few mins to go, now in bed with 63 active mins on fb n 16,425 steps. Knackered lol 3,092 calories burned n 7.51 miles trundled with dogs
 
What tracking device do you suggest.

I am torn between the Polar loop and the Fitbit.

I currently have a Polar H7 heart rate monitor I use for RPM classes.

I am looking at integrating whatever I get with mapmyfitness apps as I can track calories and my heart rate I go I that.

Hi there :) feeling much better ICU was because I had a bad reaction to the anaesthetic and heart problems too but all back to normal. I got my bypass and everything went well with it. Even though I'm not to bouncing around stage yet I'm defo looking forward to my new life. :)

wooohooo you'll sleep well :) well done on beating me Ali .... the battle is on :) today been trudging thru the woods LOL so lets see who wins today :) Fantastic stats too it certainly a great motivator and the scale should start to budge soonx x x x x

I think most of us here use the fitbit, i love mine, and wouldn't be without it. Dont know much about the Polar so cant comment on the difference and whats better....gl with which ever you decide, the main thing is getting moving and what ever devise motivates you to do so is fantastic :) x x
