good to hear . hope mine goes as well as everyone else.
Just took the call from the Hospital, I will be first on list so need to be admitted by 6.30am on Sunday (early start eh!)
as I'm travelling tomorrow and it will take me six hours they are asking for me to go in and get bloods done . So full steam ahead .... will try to keep updated by my I phone xx take care hun and get plenty of rest xx

well girls I have arrived at Birmingham, went straight to Dolan Park to have my bloods done , they were very nice.
So now booked in at the premier Inn watching some crappy movie trying to pass the time . So from 5pm its just water and from 12 midnight nothing at all...

I had the same thing on purees I couldn't do potato but now 4 months out I can manage it again. I also became lactose intolerent post op so have had to switch to lactofree milk or soy milk. Eggs are off my list too, they're so gross I still throw them up despite trying them every way!


It's trial and error at this stage in recovery.

Milk, and almond milk. That's what gave me rather explosive runs to the toilet!

I just had potato leek soup, so far (knocking wood) all is good!

Hey everyone,

My surgery went ok, they accidentally nicked my spleen during the op but got it under control quickly enough. Was awake on the ward by 10pm Thursday night. Unfortunately was crippled with backache, we are unsure what caused it, we've come to the conclusion it was due to being laid flat on a hard surface for so long. By Friday evening I was in agony not only with my back but trapped wind too.

Was moved to my own room Saturday morning after a becoming uncontrollably emotional. Was crying at anything and everything all Saturday and Sunday, I couldn't eat anything except a couple of yoghurts.

The backache has nearly gone and thankfully has the trapped wind. Managed half a wheetabix this morning so I've been discharged, on route home right now. Feel tired and drained but not as weepy as I was over the weekend thankfully xx
