Hi everyone, I posted on my Pre Op thread but just wanted to stop in and say everything went great with my band op! Staff at Nuffield have been fantastic and pain been wind, but that's about it, It may change over next couple days but il be prepared! It certainly is a life changing Op, even pre op because I knew it was happening I just felt so motivated and determined to succeed, like someone switched something on in me, lost about 24lbs pre op and that has kept me on he right path! I hope to continue my success, up my exercise and get to the person I always knew I was deep down! The support on this site has been invaluable, so I can't thank you all enough for that! Looking forward to posting some post op entries of success xxx

Hi guys, I got to St. Anthony's at 6:45am and was told I was second on the list. The surgeon came to see me and told me there was a chance he may not be able to do the sleeve if there were too many adhesions from my previous surgery.
He did say however, that if this was the case, he would put a balloon in my stomach so I could continue to lose weight and then refer me for open surgery.
I was gutted and immediately crossed my fingers.
Then I was bumped down to no 3 and eventually went into theatre at 12.30.
I was in quite bit of pain in recovery but they were quick with the pain relief and 15 mins later, I was comfortable.
Back in my room and I immediately went for a wee and was told that the surgeon had managed to cut the adhesions and do the sleeve.
One day later and I'm free of the drain and canulars and I'm now sitting here bored and looking forward to going home tomorrow.
Good luck to everyone else still waiting
