banders...when you eat a meal.

eg: two ryvitas with cream cheese etc does that make you feel full. like you couldnt any more? or u just have the self control to stop?

how do u feel after such a 'small' amount. 'small' i say in an obese person pre operation way :)

Everybody is different but this is the way I am...
When I had no restriction just after my operation I was relying solely on will power to stop when I thought I had had enough.

Now, I have restriction I can feel when I am 'full'. Its not the same fullness as I have experienced before but a kind of 'iron fist' just behind where my breastbone is. When I feel this I know I must stop no matter how much of my meal I have consumed because even a mouthful too much will cause me to bring up what hasnt gone through the band.
Personally, I cant manage more than 2 crackers with a scrape of cream cheese but I can manage a whole tin of soup as it slides through nicely without causing any problems.

Pre-op I would never have imagined eating such small amounts and feeling satisfied, however old habits are hard to break and 2 months on I still pile too much on my plate

Im sure someone else will be along to explain it a bit better lol

If I have 2 ryvita with phili I dont actually feel full I just feel satisfied, I have tried having this a few times as breakfast but I am hungry a few hours later thats why I mostly stick to a cooked breakfast (poached egg & toast) as it fills me til lunch time :)
