Banders Daily Diet and Exercise Log

Breakfast: Large smoothie

Dinner: Nothing, was still full from breakfast

Tea: Small bowl of peppered beef stew slow cooked in oven for 2 hrs.

Gym for an hour and swim 20mins then 15min walk later on.
 
Breakfast - Oat so simple

Lunch - (work meeting and sandwiches were bought out!!) Had 1/4 of tuna sandwich and just the filling of a cheese and ham and ham sandwich. A few pieces of chopped fruit.

Dinner - Mackerel and mini pitta bread

Snacks - 1 choc biscuit and a nut bar

liquids - tea cofee apple juice and NAS dilute.
 
Wednesday 16th September 2009

Breakfast: 2 x nimble wholemeal toasted with 2 poached egg (2 yolks & 1 white bit) & brown sauce

Went for a 3 mile walk.....was absolutely knackered

Lunch: 1 scoop turnip, brocolli & 1/4 chicken breast & 1 muller light vanilla & chocolate yoghurt (80cals) I dont like yoghurts but this was delicious

Dinner: Beef stir-fry with noodles in oyster sauce :drool: This was absolutely delicious 1st time making it, made it with sirloin steak, onions, babycorn, chilli flakes, garlic, oyster sauce, will defo be making this again!!

NAS dilute throughout the day

b/f - 2 eggs(done scrambled style but without milk) 1tsp brown sauce

lunch - quinoa with peppered mackrel

dinner - going out with friends so possibly salmon or prawns

had dietician chat today, she's not sending me for a fill yet as I've been having 'easy food'(saucy and mashed veggies :eek:) so I'm trying to up the protein and will try to dabble more with crunchy food....with what I've had already today up to lunch time I do feel fuller already....fingers crossed I can tweak my menu and start losing again.

still learning :sigh: :eek: :rolleyes:

Real funny day with food, took my period today and I havn't a clue what I want to eat, nothing is appealing to me!!

Breakfast: 1 x ryvita cracker with phili garlic & herb & 3/4 muller light yoghurt

Lunch: 1/2 slice of ham, 1 slice of beetroot, tiny piece of lettuce, couldn't stomach anymore than that

Dinner: 4 tbsp rice, 1/4 chicken breast, a few onions and curry sauce, a few prawn crackers

Packet of walkers smokey bacon crisps which I hate but I just really wanted them :yuk:

Very little to drink today, dont know whats wrong with me food & liquid wise :sigh: this doesn't normally happen to me

treat small slice of chocolate fudge cake with single cream, nawty liz !

Lunch - 1/2 jacket pot with chilli

Dinner - Minted lamb with gravy 2 small pots and veg

snacks - about 6 chocs whilst visiting my sick friend

liquids - too many cup of coffee and 2 x J20

NOt a good band day really

Breakfast: 1 x nimble wholemeal toasted, poached egg & brown sauce

Lunch: slice of ham, potato salad & beetroot

Dinner: 2 tbsp pasta & scoop of bolognese

NAS dilute & tea
 
b/f - shape yoghurt with a few branflakes

lunch - cottage cheese, lettuce, tomato & cucumber.

dinner - bolognaise with quinoa

just realised not had much to drink today :eek:
 
B - Coffee

L - 2 x rivita with cream cheese and ham

D - Raviolli with WW tom sauce and grated cheese (only managed a tiny bit) - Butterscotch Sugar free angel delight

NAS dilute

l. 1 sausage, 1 poached egg, baked beans half a slice of toast.

d. pea & ham soup.

snack, small tub of prawn cocktail.

liquids as usual.

errmm booze later how much yet "UNKNOWN" lol :p :eek:
 
Saturday 19th September 2009

Had my 3rd fill today, she put in 1.5ml but I couldn't swallow my drink so she had to take .5 back out, so now have 5ml in my 10ml band and hopefully some restriction!!

Breakfast: 2 x nimble toasted with ham & cheese and some beetroot.....couldn't finish it

No lunch Had my fill at 3pm had to fast

Dinner: Bowl of soup

NAS dilute throughout the day

Had a fill yesterday so on soft food

Breakfast: 1 egg omelette with ham & cheese & brown sauce, could only eat half :)

Lunch: Small bowl of homemade chilli con carne (no rice)

Snack: 1/2 muller light yoghurt

Dinner: 1/4 bowl of curry sauce with onions and a handful of prawn crackers

NAS dilute throughout the day

Just sitting here eating a bowl of chilli, got hungry all of a sudden

:D it really bad and nawty for banders lol, its aunty bessies new thing out its similar to jam roly poly but its choc instead, nawty but nice and we SHOULDNT eat it lol ;)

b/f - 2 Finn crackers (rye crackers 20cals/slice) & jam

lunch - handful of cashew nuts (was out shopping so tried these)

dinner - dry fried chorizo & prawns on a little lettuce

snacks - small dish of baby plum tomatoes halved & sprinkled with spicy italian herbs & 3 pieces of low fat licorice

had some wine today :eek:
 
May as well post my 3 wk liquid diet as prescribed by Healthier weight .

4 items from protein list

weight to go shake

weight to go soup

2/3 pt or 400ml semi skimmed milk or skimmed milk

2/3 pt soya milk with added calcium

2 smooth diet yoghurts (125 g each) to blend with milk or water to a "drinkable" consistency

3 heaped tablespoons skimmed milk powder

15g protein eg soya or egg(obtainable from health food shops or a pharmacy .You may need your protein from these if you dont like dairy

All fluids should at this stage fit through a straw but word of warning dont use a straw as you may get excessive wind


Limited list (optinal )1 -2 per day

If you like more variety then you can choose 1 or 2 items from the following:

Oxo, Bovril, Marmite or stock cubes dissolved in hot water

Soups- tinned dried cuppa or home made thinned out to watery
consistency sieved so there are no lumps or bits at this stage

1 small glass unsweetend fruit juice(150mls) no bits sieve them or make up own flavours.

1 glass 200ml low fat low sugar actimel or similar
1x vegetable juice carrot, tomato, or v.8 again must fir through straw

1x100ml-150ml vie or other smoothie drink

1/2 banana or small soft fruit to make into a 'smoothie' with milk: again blend or sieve to a thin smoothie consitency

Free list (unlimited)

Water: plain or a flavoured low cal variety (not carbonated)

low cal , no aded sugar free squash

teas including herbal tea

coffee, preferably decaffinated

Will stick to these packs as i have got them in ready and just takes away the thinking for the next couple of days.

Had a shake for breakfast and a soup for lunch plus 3 cups of tea later will have 1 soup and a hot chocolate for supper.

All going o.k on day 2 from hospital.( day one was the op date no foods all days just sips of water )

Also been told to walk 3 x 10 mins daily from now on so counting steps,gradually building it up this week.
