Banders Daily Diet and Exercise Log

Liz what do you put in your spag bol? im not the best cook lol but ur no pasta bolognaise sounds gud x

steak mince & a finley chopped onion cook in spray light oil till brown in pan, then i add a colmans sachet spag bol powder mixed with cold water, then a tin of fine chopped tomatoes, i add some fine chopped mushrooms and half a tube of garlic purree, simmer for 30 mins on a low heat keep stiring. (the garlic and mushrooms is optional depends if you like them or not).

i eat this in a small bowl with a sprinkle of grated cheese, but id wait until you know where you stand with solids before trying this. its also great on a small jacket potato. i dont know how many calories is in each portion as i never calory count as its something ive never done.

it makes a big pan and i freeze it in small portions in plastic tubs so its handy to defrost and eat when needed.

i was gonna ask the same question as well, eating the same things on a regular basis can stop weight loss as the body gets used to the same routine, food type and calorie intake.

l. bowl of home made irish stew.

d. tuna/mayo with a side salad.

Hi Sue & Liz, I love poached egg & toast, dont like cereal im hungry after an hr.... poached egg fills me up til lunch, again I love ham & beetroot and I suppose its handy to make, I never thought about it stopping my weight loss cos my loss has stopped unfortunately, I begged THG for another fill, gettin it this Saturday (2 weeks since last fill) to see if it will help me, Im so busy with the 3 children I guess I just make a handy lunch, I really dont know what else to make  that'll fill me up, I use to have soup but thats a slider, any ideas?

Hey liz...if I ask nicely with a cherry on top could you post your recipe for irish stew. I looked it up online but I cant find a low fat/cal version
Thanks :D

hi kate, i dont wanna upset you but banders need a varied diet because the body gets used to the same intake and will maintain weight as no change in diet and become used to the same mundane foods on a daily basis.

you say u like ham and u say u like egg, one of my fav quick lunches is hard boiled egg with ham and a side salad, i add beetroot cole slaw then top the lot with a fine sprinkle of cheese off the finest part of the cheese grater.

also tuna/mayo on a jacket spud is great.

chicken is great with salad or new poatoes.

prawn salad.

salmon baked in foil in oven with brocklie, cauli and peas is another fav of mine.

just a few ideas to start to vary ur diet, as you cant rely on certain foods all the time especially when full restriction is there and u cant eat ya old favs on a daily basis that you have become reliant on at the moment.

i hope some of my suggestions appeal to you.

scrambled egg or a small ommlette with baked beans is ok 4 brekki as well x

Thankyou liz :D I cant pm you back cause your inbox is full but thanks for the recipe xx
