BANDERS UNITE ! Get to know each other chatter !

I think you naturally feel better inside and you feel it's worth putting make up on or choosing nice things to wear.
I just wanted to disappear before and have no-one see me.

snap! thats how i feel neen, esp at school....esp during the summer when u cant hide under a big coat. its like a fashion show with the mums in their pencil skirts, killer heels and enormous sunglasses.

i have the sunglasses, but thats to cover my non plucked eyebrows/dark circles!

thanks neen...hope u have a good weekend urself! still look at ur pic of u at 9months later and DAY-AM u look good...and so YOUNG!!

magicbeans;235004) talking of effort....once u guys had the band and started looking good-er.... did u find urselves making more effort with urself? i really feel i let myself go since i had my daughter 14months ago. i feel huge and ppl still think im preg. so i just dont bother and look tired and a mess. i do try here and there and it does improve the overall look but when u just look fat u cant be bothered.(/QUOTE said:
Aaw Magic - I know how you feel, when I was pre-op and feeling unwell a lot of the time; as well as extremely tired, everything was just too much effort.
But you will notice a difference as soon as some of the weight comes off, you will be happier in yourself.....and the trying to look good will just fall into place quite naturally.
Be patient hun x not too long to wait now and even in 3 months you will start to feel a little better about yourself.

I was really surprised and happy, when someone stopped me at work and remarked at how well I looked, also asked whether I had lost some weight as I looked slimmer! Gobsmacked!

Take care hun x

Love Kat x

Evening all. It has been a long day. What was supposed to be a lovely family day turned into an emergency as we ran into a problem with getting some medication for my mom that she needs to take back when she flies on Tuesday. I had to make two trips to Brum, spent 3 hours in 3 different pharmacies and to cap it all Mr TB was really unwell. He made the second trip back to Brum with me as he wanted to see my mom to say goodbye but once he was there he had to go and lie down as he was in a terrible state. I managed to get some soup down him when we eventually got home and I have put him to bed. He has a terrible abscess on his gum and I am going to have to get him down the NHS walk in centre in the morning and get him some antibiotics as he cannot eat and he hardly eats most of the time. I am really worried:(.

I did eventually get some time with the family. I had not seen my brother since June and he was amazed how different I look. An old family friend and her family came too so there was 11 of us in my sisters living room. She did a lovely buffet tea which was mostly cooked by my ex hubby - I had soup:D. When we found out there was a problem with mom's meds I asked him if he wouldn't mind coming over to help with the cooking and he kindly agreed bless him. He came out with my sister and I as we raced around trying to find a pharmacist who would fill out the prescriptions and when it meant me having to rush back to Wolves he said he would go back and get on with the cooking while my sister dashed off somewhere else. It is good we still get on - in fact we get on better now than we did while we were married:rolleyes:.

I am so tired I don't know what I am rambling about. Just wanted to see how you all were. I like to get my daily fix:D.

Morning, had a mad few days my little man was poorly only a cold, he went to bed friday afternoon and woke up really wheezy took him to the dr's, who put him on a nebulizer then called 999 and sent him to hospital.
Steroids and 2 more nebulizers later they kept him in..sent him up to the childrens ward at 1am (he's 2) and he finally got a bed at 3am after sitting for another 2 hrs asking the same questions they asked downstairs in a nd e...then i get him off to sleep and they wake him hourly to do his obs...poor lil man is shattered!. The morning nurse was lucky i never knocked her out..shouting at him cos he cried when she gave him his inhaler..told him he was naughty..he's 2!! in a strange place with a huge tube thing bein stuck on his face by a nasty lady!

Think this should be in the rant thread really lol!

Anyway we got home last night, hopefully he'll pick up over the next few days. Diet wasn't brill yesterday to much bread but it was quick and easy.

Back to it today..hope everyone is ok will go back and read the posts now and have a catch up whats been goin on! xx

Morning lovelies xxx
OMG Kell :( We had that happen with our youngest...almost the same scenario...it's so awful to see them in that state. I remember being in hospital with him, holding him in my arms sitting on a chair in the childrens ward, worried to death.

He'll be ok I'm sure sweetheart. Our boy stopped being wheezy after about a year of using a nebuliser at home everytime he had a cold.
Now I always watch him like a hawk when he gets colds but he has not ever gotten as bad as when he was younger.. Hopefully it is something that will pass with your son too. I just wanted to offer you both a big huge hug x

How awful kel, what a worry our kiddies are! My eldest had brochiolitus when she was 4 months old and was in isolation for a week so remember it well she's 17 now lol she has childhood asthma and grew out of it by the time she was 4. Hope your little one is on the mend now xxx sending lots of love

Why is it when the clocks change u find yourself adjusting the time still (or is that just me) lol I'm standing here saying ooo almost lunch time but no really it's only 11 haha .... Even the dog keeps looking at me funny lol XX

Kelly I hope you little one feels better soon.

I have been off and on today in-between trying to get Mr TB sorted. I eventually got him up and out to the walk in centre at about 11.40 am. I managed to just about get out of my mouth that he had an abscess before I was interrupted mid sentence by the person on the desk who said they did not deal with anything to do with the mouth and he would have to see an emergency dentist. They had finished 10 minutes earlier. I was given a number to ring. I got us back to the car and dialled the number to get a message the phone was switched off.

I tried several times when I got home - same thing. I really could not leave things as they were so eventually got through to my GP out of hours service. When I explained the situation and that the pain was triggering a relapse I was told someone would call back within an hour. A doctor called about 45 minutes later and booked Mr TB to be seen by a doctor - back at the walk-in centre where the out of hours service is also based:rolleyes:.

We were seen within 10 minutes of the appointment time and the doctor was lovely. She prescribed two lots of antibiotics, one because she said he seemed to have something else in his system given how poorly he has been in the last few weeks. I am so relieved he has something.

I value the health service we have but the attitude we got from the person on the reception makes me so angry. Not only did it waste time but she is taking decisions on whether someone should be seen or not without taking the time to give somebody time to explain the problem. I wonder how many people she has done that to today and potentially left them at risk?

I haven't done any of the work I have to do and I am so tired given the week I have had plus yesterdays mini drama. I need to try and do something - then I need to find my census form. It is buried under a pile of papers somewhere:rolleyes:.

Moan over;). See you later.
