BANDERS UNITE ! Get to know each other chatter !

Evening all. I have had a long day at work and going to London in the morning so this will be quick - sorry if I miss anyone out - not intentional.

Marie will see you on Friday as I am after you on the appointments.

Piratess sound like a touch of the green eyed monster with your virtual friend - think hard but my gut reaction would be ditch her now - sounds harsh - but she is clearly not going to have anything positive to offer you on this part of your journey.

Neen - make that call! Sarah - make a call if you think that the fill is not enough.

Mel good luck with your fill.

I have had terrible pain all day so going to bed now. So glad I am going to the hospital on Friday. Not sure how I am going to cope tomorrow. Sorry for bleating....baaaa:D

Evening all. This thread is quiet. I was in two minds about whether to post this. I went to WM today. Saw Marie1986 - she looks stunning and doing so well.

I saw Mr Mirza and explained how ill I had been feeling and my other symptoms. He told me my band may have slipped. I knew something was wrong but that was the one thing I was dreading. Needless to say no fill and I have now got to have a barium xray. He has also ordred a CT scan of my abdominal cavity to rule out a hernia or adhesions from the complications with my op. I have no restriction which I have been battling with a will need to continue do so, so I will be posting on the other thread to help myself out. He has told me to ring his secretary as soon as the tests are done and he will see me as soon as he can. Naturally I am feeling very down about it but will keep going.

Hope you are all ok and have a peaceful weekend.

Goodness! :hug99: Have you ever had a fill in your band? I'm surprised it has slipped so quickly. Given your complications (which sound similar to the one I had post op I think) I wonder if your band was fitted properly?

I don't want to stress you out. Lets hope your band hasn't slipped - do you know whether you've been exhibiting the symptoms of a slipped band or whether he's just eliminating other possibilities?

I too went for a scan under Mr. Mirza .... I need to get into contact with his secretary, but don't have his/her details.

If it helps at all, I wasn't restricted properly until about January .. so have only been restricted for 3 months now (take out my big defill). You can do this ... you and Neen are working well together ... keep at it ... you can do this.
:hug99:

I was wondering how it went for you...hopefully the xray can be done as soon as possible as you need a break!! Seriously , keep us posted and I admire you so much for trying your best in view of the difficulties you've had to endure, band related and otherwise.

Big hugs and take it as easy as you can xxxx
(I did ask on the foodie thread before looking at this, so ignore that x)

oh TB poor you. I hope it's all correctly diagnosed for you sooner rather than later, sending more hugs your way xx

I hope everyone else is doing ok.
I'm not :( v fed up. Been naughty and weighed nearly every day this week and those scales just aint a shifting!! I've been on fluids nearly all week, finally managed something mushy today and it stayed down :)
Still cycled, but only once as been so shattered this week, assuming cos been on the fluids.
Glad it's finally settling from my fill, was thinking some would need to come out. Been that constipated (which won't have helped the weight) which instead of rabbit droppings is more like grapefruits!!! Ouchy

Sorry I know TMI (hoping the mashed up cauliflower cheese will help)

I am so tired I'm going to pop off to bed with my book and have me a restful weekend me thinks.
Don't expect too much from my saturday weigh in pleeeeeease (gutted) and yes I am naughty I know sorry.

Have a great weekend all :) xxxx

Just glad to hear from you Rache! xxx I am going to have to deploy the scales police to whisk them away and put a mallet to them if you don't keep off them much more though!
My first week of Atkins I was eggbound as well...seriously not fun :(
I had some fybogel and that really helped but It is horrendous suffering that way !! Poor you xxx

Hope you're settled in well and still cycling daily...you are going to have really fabulous legs you know!!!

Take it easy xxxx

Hi all. Thanks for the good wishes. CC I have had two fills up to now so have 4 ml in. As for whether it was ever fitted properly - maybe. After all it was a bypass I was supposed to be having and they decide to fit the band having gone in and not being able to do the bypass. I spoke to my sister and she said that adhesions can occur if they have to move a lot of things around as they did when I had the op.

So, I will see how it goes. He marked both things as urgent but what that will mean to WM is anyone's guess:rolleyes:. It is coping with the pain and I was really shocked about the lack of weight loss as I thought I was doing ok. Still not getting the scales out as I can do without that added stress. I am a bit worried in case they say they have to remove the band altogether and where that will leave me really, but no point in worrying about it. Timing is lousy. Ming Ellen sent me two emails today - I worked from home before and after the appointment - demanding to know what was happening - and I am not responding. Let's see if she is brave enough to ask me to my face.

I am determined to not get too despondent. You hear scare stories about bands slipping but at least I can share the experience with you all and we can all learn from it.

Keep smiling everyone - worse things happen at sea:D.

TB ....I think I need to get the scales police to take Rache's scales and thwack Ming Ellen over the head with them. What's the matter with that stupid woman for goodness sake!

Anyway....I just wanted to re-iterate that I hope emergency means your team will get their act together and deal with this before you have too much more pain and discomfort to bear x

:DMing Ellen's skull bashed in with Rache's scales - now there is a thought...

I will chase it up in the week - I know I will not last if it goes on too long. Thanks for caring so much:hug99:.

Right bed time - been a long day.

TB, can you ring them on Monday, it may give them a kick up the bum? I hate to think about you in so much discomfort on top of everything else.
Rache, I'm sorry to hear that you've had a rough week, I also suffer from constipation, which is awful and really embarrassing when it blocks the toilet (can't believe I've just admitted that, eek!).
Neen how're you finding the Atkins?
I'm going to try harder this week, I did ok most of the time, but had a couple of glitches. I've got the 3 1/2 stone mark set in my sights and I'm going for it. I'm coming down with a cold and it's made my band a little tighter which is great. I've booked in for another fill in June :) x

Oh Sarah LMAO!!! Bless ya x
TB Ming Ellen will just LOVE the silent treatment so go you!! Cheeky mare she can wait.x
Neen how're you getting on with your atkins now, have things settled a little now?x

I think I will - if I can work out how to:D. I am going to get my bike out today Rache. It is a lovely morning here but a bit windy. I went down to the garage last weekend to inspect it and it is buried under a pile of stuff. I did feel the tyres and they are as flat as a pancake but the new pump has arrived so the first thing is to work out how to pump them up:rolleyes:.

My ex husbands bike is next to it but I have lost the key for the lock on it. We bought both bikes at the same time. I have told him to come and collect it but he says he hasn't got room for it. My little sister is interested in it but I need to send her a pic of it so she can see if she will be able to manage it. Both my sisters live near each other and one of them lives near a park with a nice cycle track in it. We are going to plan a Saturday when we go and try it out together - which should be fun.

oh that sounds lovely TB, get on that bike and enjoy the sun on your face :)
Bill paying and mirror buying for me today, can't believe how few mirrors we have and the one we used at the old house has now broken (I'm not even thinking about bad luck shizzle) A girl has to know she looks good from top to toe with these dropping sizes doesn't she :)

Evening all - where is everyone??? As you can see I have added a ticker for the big day:D

I have not chased the hospital as Mr TB is very poorly. He has to go to the hospital for some urgent test tomorrow and because of work I cannot take him. He got himself to the docs today as he has had another relapse. The doc took one look at him and said he needed the tests done immediately and organised them there and then. Our GP is fantastic - we feel blessed to have her.

Mr TB and I are like a couple of old crocks with how we both are at the moment. I left work early for me and we are having a nice chilled evening - note to self - leave work on time most days:D

I hope you are all ok - I get worried when you all go quiet;).
